Chapter Twelve Tiffany The weekend away gave me time to think. And think I did. A hell of a lot of it, as a matter of fact. And the conclusion I’d come to was that Jasper needed to be told about Jasmine. It was the right thing to do. But the courage to make the confession wasn’t coming easily to me. The whole day at work on Monday, I kept expecting to see Jasper walk into the Dairy King—especially after my mother told me about the visit he’d made on the weekend. She’d told him how old Jasmine was, too, so I knew he had to have a pretty good idea that she was his. Mom said he hadn’t acted mad in the least. Jasper hadn’t even asked a thing about Jasmine possibly being his. I wasn’t sure how to take that. Maybe he didn’t want a kid; I had no idea. And I didn’t want to force Jasmine on him
