Ch 28 Are you crazy?

 Chapter 28

•3rd POV•

Octavia closed up the shop after a long busy day she waved to her employees that stayed behind to help with clean up. She locked the door and then pulled down the large metal door placing the lock on it and picked up her yellow sunflower backpack and walked towards the exit. She waved bye to the other store vendors that closed up for the day and walked out of the double doors. 

Her eyes roamed the parking lot and immediately she felt a surge of happiness and looked around finding her handsome expressionless mate 6 '7 lean muscled and lanky man with long black dreads that came down his back and shoulders tied back slightly so they wouldn’t get in his face he had Caramel colored skin, droopy Golden eyes that made his strong native features shine he was wearing a white tee that showed off his tattoos visibly going up his arms and showing his muscle. 

Their adorable pup had light tan skin and dark black curly hair tied back in pigtails the blue ribbons that made her deep blue eyes pop and enhance the golden flecks mixed in her irises, her chubby cheeks puffed out her lips in a slight pout, and as she played with the yellow ribbon on her white shirt pulling it out of her light blue overalls.

Her face was rather impassive for a baby but she was her Papas daughter after all... they were parked near the doors and Octavia was sure they had sat there waiting for a good 20 minutes. 

His and Olympias' impassive faces quickly brightened up at the sight of his mate and her Mama. Ocean rushed out of the car hugging Octavia as she laughed her childlike laugh and said, "Relax, it's not like I was gone for years it was only a few hours" he pulled back taking a deep breath a sudden smile gracing his serious features as he looked at his mate.

Keeping his hand on the small of her back and he leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her shoulder and then her cheek and said "more like an eternity" and gently took off her backpack walking over to the passenger side and opening the door for her, She happily walked over and kissed his cheek climbing in.

Octavia had a car of her own but Ocean insisted he drive her to work and picked her up so he and Olympia didn't have to wait for her to get home. Octavia turned in her seat and gave Olympias little chubby hand a gentle squeeze which made the 2-year-old giggle with joy at the sight of her Mama 

Ocean leaned over Octavia to talk to Olympia and said: "Olly really missed you ain't that right Olly" then Olympia said " issh Mama wots" to which Octavia giggled and said "Mama missed you lots to Olly" and she blew a kiss to Olympia who giggled and reached for her mama as Octavia turned back into her seat.

Ocean carefully buckled Octavia in and put her backpack on her lap then gave her a chaste kiss on the lips. It was their daily routine since Octavia convinced Ocean to let her open up the shop at the mall and No it's not like she needed the money being the Alpha's twin sister and all but she wanted to do what she loved.

Especially while not having to worry about female Beta duty since her brother had yet to find his Luna. 

Octavia felt a sad tug at her heart and rolled down the window facing away from her handsome mate who felt her sadness "What's wrong Tavia?" she let out a soft sigh as the wind blew in her face and twirled her wild yellow hair "You know I'm glad to have you O but it makes me sad that my twin hasn't found his mate... lucky for me you were always there" 

Ocean placed a comforting hand on Octavias lap keeping his eyes on the road as he drove them home and said "Not everyone is as lucky as we were and I'm sure he'll find his mate soon enough" Octavia smiled warmly and then Olympia said "Mama Papa weft me Lypso" then Ocean flinched when he felt Octavia's playful glare "Why did you leave her with a 15-year-old who had to get ready to leave?" he laughed shrugging his shoulders "It wouldn't hurt her to learn early and she was already packed when I asked her" Octavia playfully smacked his shoulder and settled into her seat “I mean I did have to help with pack work and patrol while the others were training” she nodded smirking her eyes catching the bright green leaves making her remember the two small she-wolves. 

Her wolf Zula recognized the green-eyed one almost immediately wanting to drag the short hair she-wolf home "Ocean I met some interesting little wolves today" but Octavia knew it was only a matter of time before she would see the green-eyed wolf again and the different colored eyed one as well so she let them leave.

"Really from what pack?"

She smiled loving that her clairvoyance allowed her to see things that others didn't reveal right away. She turned back and looked to her loving mate 

"The new pack the one called Circo De La Rosa"

Two bodies tumbled around on the ground of the Packs arena surrounded by their fellow pack warriors that cheered freely for the contender that they believe would rise victorious. The darker-haired one was distracted by the cheers of the crowd and the blonde seeing his opportunity gained the upper hand and slammed the darker-haired male down on the ground pinning him and then looking up and smiling. 

The crowd cheered as the blonde helped the darker haired male up and gave him an encouraging pat on the back. The victor raised his hands to silence the crowd cheers. The crowd went silent and the blond placed his hand behind his back and spoke

"This concludes today's training remember to never lose sight of your opponent or it may very well cost your life. Now Espinoza, Nuñez, Wellington, and Sunderland take the same groups for patrols," said Delta Burly as he devised his patrols then Nuñez said," What directions are we going in?" Delta Burly smiled

"Go in the direction of the 1st letter of your last names" some of the Warriors laughed and others smiled whereas Espinoza and Nuñez both shouted a "f**k you, Paul!" Wellington and Sunderland scowled laughing and with a wave of their hand signaled their groups to go.

As the last of the Warriors filed out Paul let out a deep sigh having realized he didn't have anything to do because there was no point in joining patrol he would just be in the way. He gathered his things and walked back to the packhouse taking his sweet time as he passed through the pack grounds greeting pack members in his wake.

He decided he would stop at the kitchen for an apple but much to his dismay he didn't find any in the fruit bowl near the entrance and he looked around the vast kitchen and spotted a bowl of apple slices instead. 

He grabbed a handful but got smacked in the back of the head by his Mom the pack's head chef Nora. She was tall for a woman reaching the height of 6ft she was lanky yet graceful, her strong sharp features intimidating, electric green eyes that pop in contrast to her sunkissed skin, and Light brown hair that was up in a ponytail.

Nora was usually very mellow the complete opposite of her mate but she didn't appreciate Paul taking some of the apples she had taken her time to chop and peel so with a playful smile she decided to mess with him

"Hey don't finish those Paul I need them for the apple pies" he grumbled but popped one in his mouth "Sorry Ma where's Mama?" Nora smiled happily and said "Your Mamas out buying stuff for me now that she's retired from her Position as the Delta" 

Ivaine had been the previous pack Delta a small spunky woman who should not be taken lightly. She was very strong and stood proudly at 5’3 she had blonde hair, bright blue eyes, pale skin, and delicate features a large contrast to her fiery temper and personality.

They were polar opposites but worked very well with each other. Paul much like his mom Nora was usually very level-headed and would face Ivaine's wrath whenever he messed around too much. Paul simply nodded and leaned over kissing his mom on the cheek "Okay well let me know when Mama gets back I'm gonna shower" 

His mom nodded and went back to preparing the apple pies and checking on the rest of the cooks who were helping with lunch prep. Nora started to think about her cute little mates' fiery temper happy that their son has finally taken over the position.

Nora smiled remembering when they met each other and how Ivanie didn’t really think but reacted tackling Nora and snuggling into her. As she placed the apples in the pie trays she couldn't help but feel a little sad. Wondering when her son was going to find his own Mate.

Paul went up the stairs walking into his room and closing the door. He laid in bed sorta missing home even though he had moved out about 2 years ago since he took over the Delta position from his Mama Ivaine.

He got up an hour later, stretching and pulled off his clothes getting in the shower, 30mins later Paul emerges fresh and ready to check on patrols he only puts on some shorts since you never know what to expect. As he made his way down the stairs his wolf began to stir. Bane was excited which was out of character due to his usual calm demeanor

'Polly hurry up'

'Don't rush me, Bane, there's no point we do this every day'

'Just hurry up'

'And if I don't want to?'

'Then I'll lead'

'Fine by me'

Bane took control and Paul just sat back and let the suddenly restless wolf do his thing. As he full-on sprinted to the western border Paul began to take interest in distracting them both as they almost bumped into a pack warrior. Paul stopped immediately and looked at the warrior expectantly then he said "Delta Burly there are two she-wolves taking out our patrols and Beta Combatant has yet to return"

She-wolves?

"Get Alpha Night"

The warrior ran off to find the Alpha and Bane continued his sprint coming to a halt as he saw Wellington and another Warrior get their asses handed to them by the two she-wolves. He suddenly heard one growl out in frustration "We were chasing a f*****g butterfly okay! We didn't realize we were on your f*****g lands"

her power shined through causing Paul and the warriors to flinch. Paul took a shaky breath and inhaled his nose then picked up a sweet smell that wafted in the air confused as he looked trying to find the source when his eyes landed on the smaller she-wolf.

•PAUL•

She had her long dark hair braided in singles, soft hazelnut skin, plump lips, and different colored eyes one amber and the other silver-gray. Her taunting gaze was captivating and I knew it would be hard to ever say no to her. I watched as she placed a comforting hand on the annoyed she-wolf's shoulder as she finished their explanation " And planning to kidnap Calum Hood we just haven't finalized the details-" I couldn't help it and interrupted with a low growl ignoring whatever else she said

I stalked over her sweet scent got stronger and cinnamon apples and vanilla overtook my senses I towered over her looking down with a smirk and reached out to caress her face then Bane purred "why not kidnap me". The feel of her soft skin under my knuckles sent an electric shock and a surge of happiness seeing how it affected her making her fall.

 Bane was happily chanting mate and failed to realize that we let her fall. I felt a surge of power around me as the powerful she-wolf with a pixie cut quickly moved to my mates' side growling at me as my mate mumbled "I can't kidnap Calum hood anymore" the pixie looked at my mate confused and then she flinched hard, her droopy eyes got droopier.

Confused I looked to my mate who was also looking where the Pixie was looking and I followed her gaze and looked to where I had appeared from and there stood Remo Alpha Lucious wolf. From the way, Remo looked at the Pixie and how the Pixie looked at him I knew she was the one to always be by Alphas side she was our Luna.

•3rd POV•

Long black hair past his shoulders a slender 6ft frame with soft curves and a delicate smile on his serene face as he sat on the couch attempting to braid his hair “Lulu I know that you're worried now that your almost 21 but I'm sure your mate will appear soon enough” Lucious walked out of the kitchen and into the living room laying down and laying his head on his mama's lap “you know I love you right?”

He looked at his Mama he was beautiful he had strong native features seemingly shining in contrast to his deep azure eyes and plump lips with a knowing smile on them. Lucious simply snuggled into his mamas' embrace. 

His mama smiled moving his long straight black hair out of his face giving up on the braid and showing his delicate yet somehow strong jawline “Lulu you're much more like me than you think you know I used to think I would never meet my mate... I was 19 and alone and then your Papa came along and dragged me to his pack where I was no longer alone and I met Uwevy and her mate James and my best friend Ivaine and her mate Nora” his smile deepened and he caressed his sons face“It's only a matter of time Lulu” Luscious confused looked at his mama the question apparent on his face. 

His mama Ofir the gentle previous Luna smiled and in his soothing voice he said to his son “Mates are unexpected Lulu they’re like Magnets and appear before you in unexpected moments just like your papa appeared before me” he ran a gentle hand over his son's hair and then his mate appeared behind wrapping his strong arms around Ofirs slender frame.

For Lucious it was like looking in a mirror only his Papa had wild curly light brown hair combed back leaving only his stubborn superman curl that no matter how much they tried it never stayed down. His papa unlike his mama and twin sister Octavia had slightly paler skin and bright blue eyes under his dark always angry brows.

 “You know Mamas right I remember when I suddenly felt restless and my wolf took over it was strange because nothing else seemed to matter it was like time stopped and suddenly there he was as beautiful as ever...even if he was caught stealing food”

his mama smacked his Papa whose angry face smiled at his mate only then it was when you really noticed his aging and smile lines “Don’t worry son I'm sure you’ll find you mate soon” his mama freed himself from his papas embrace and then pulled Lucious into a hug

“Don’t worry Lulu you’ll find your mate and when you do let us meet them” His mama smiled warmly “Now go and get to work those papers aren’t going to look through themselves” Lucious grumbled bending down slightly to hug his mama and smiled “Yeah I’ll go now I’ll come to have breakfast with you again soon” his mama nodded and kissed his cheek. 

Luscious hugged his father as well and smiled walking out of the house feeling better as he made his way back towards the packhouse greeted by "Good morning Alpha" and “hello alpha” said many of the wolves that Alpha Lucious passed giving them nods in acknowledgment. Lucious was one of few words the complete opposite of his sister Octavia, Little sister Calypso and his adorable niece Olympia always raising hell with their mischief.

 He had a lot to live up to as his father Leon set the bar high after taking over he worked hard and made the pack be the strongest in the 7 continents but no longer the most ruthless. That title was due to the pack's history with Leon's father as the previous alpha tyrant that had ruled Onyx Moon with an Iron fist and made the pack into murderers taking lives and taking overpacks left and right.

That all changed when Leon came back to claim his title and put an end to the alphas tyranny. It took some time but soon Leon was loved and respected in his pack and they grew prosperous when Ofir came into the picture. Leon took over at 18 and he decided to make it a tradition to have Luscious take over at the same age.

Leon and Ofir never pressured them and raised and trained them turning them into the leaders they were meant to be and when Lucious and Octavia turned 16 it was no surprise that she and his best friend Ocean were mates (Ocean had turned 16 the year before).

Luscious having not found his Luna within the pack decided to go from pack to pack searching for his mate but after a year of searching, he came up empty-handed.

His friends Ocean his newly appointed Beta and Paul his new Delta took over from their parents did their best to take Lucious’s mind off of not having a mate. Keeping him busy and focusing on bettering the pack but as time went by Luscious became emotionally distant and his thoughts plagued with loneliness. 

Keeping him distracted another year went by and his strength unmatched and he became the strongest of the strongest but also grew silent, only speaking when necessary and only ever being himself when he was with his family living life on autopilot.

Lucious greeted a few more pack members and then as the routine called for it he went straight to his office sitting down and starting on his paperwork. 

He was looking through his treaty request accepting the ones that would benefit both packs or denying treaties that were just for power especially the ones that came with marriage offers. 2 hours went by and he was met with one with a black rose with gold leaves in the center of the file, never having encountered such pack symbol

he reaches for this offer curiously right as he was going to open the file he felt a break in his pack border and his wolf Remo got anxious 

'What is it, Remo' 

'It's mate'

'mate?'

'Yes mate go!'

Having realized what Remo said Lucious shot out of his seat could it be true he thought more to himself not wanting to voice his concerns in fear that it wouldn’t be true.

Flying to the doors of his office flinging his doors open not really watching and almost colliding with a pack larger pack warrior who he swiftly caught and asked: "What's wrong?" The warrior looked out of breath as he spoke " Alpha there are two she-wolves beating our patrols"

'Ooooh I like her already'

He ignored Remo's comment and said "Did you inform Beta Combatant or Delta Burly?" the soldier nodded and said "Yes Alpha, Delta Burly is on his way Beta Combatant has yet to return" Lucious nodded "Get some tranquilizers ready we don't know what these she-wolves are capable of if they are taking out our warriors on patrol" the warrior nodded and took off running in the direction of the pack hospital.

‘Tranquilizers! Are you Crazy!?’

‘No Remo I’m not but we don’t know whether they can be trusted’

‘And if she is trustworthy she won’t think the same as you if you trank her!’

Lucious ignored Remo and ran full speed anxious as he neared the exit of the packhouse he grabbed some shorts that were lying around tied them around his leg running out and jumping off the stairs shifting and shredding his clothes in the process. 

He ran until he reached his pack's western border once he got there he saw as his Delta caressed a smaller she-wolf shocking her and making her fall and suddenly he heard a growl that sent a delicious shiver down his spine.

 He followed the sound his eyes landing on a beautiful she-wolf with a dark brown pixie cut and menacingly gorgeous droopy green eyes he inhaled her scent the sweet smell of lavender and roses mixed with pine flooded his senses and could only imagine what her soft-looking skin felt on his. 

He shifted meeting her gaze which she quickly averted not wanting to see him in his full naked glory he smiled and pulled on his shorts her scent so enticing that he didn't realize he had scooped her up but he and Remo couldn't be happier they had finally found their mate and the eruption of tingles confirmed it.
