Ch 11 The Weasley

Chapter 11

•XOILA•

After Stacy looked into my eyes and after a moment that passes slowly when information is being processed her gaze went from confusion to one of pure Joy.

I don't expect anything less but she is beaming with happiness right now.  We started heading to the kitchen so that we could get our assignments for today. We don't have set jobs because Jake the acting Beta and Brice the leading Delta think we should have different jobs so that everyone doesn't get tired of Daily Routine.

As much as it pains me to admit I'm not gonna lie when I say I'm grateful to those two big idiots at least they aren't as stupid as they look and do think of the greater good of the pack.

As we head down the hall towards the stairwell that leads to the upper levels, I look at Stacy and can practically see the sparkling atmosphere around her.

Her aura screams happy... Happy to leave soon. Sheesh if I didn't know any better she is probably as happy as when 5 Seconds Of Summer released a new album. And trust me that is beyond happy like I remember how much she begged her dad to let her pre-order the album just because she wanted a new poster.

She was practically glowing when it got to the house. So seeing how happy she is now is a good chance to relay the message I want her to receive because her mental guard is pretty low right now. ‘ After we are dismissed make sure to head straight to the room no matter the interruptions we have to get back before 10 pm got it?’ almost instantly she replied ‘Ay Ay Captain you can count on me’

I giggled as we were nearing the entrance that leads to the kitchen of the packhouse where all omegas meet to get their assignments.

We got to the door and I immediately walked towards Zari pulling Stacy along with me (she wanders if you don't watch her) Zari was standing with everyone else looking deep in thought as we got closer.

I tapped her shoulder and she seemed to snap away from her thoughts and she immediately smiled up at me. Man, looking down at her today and made me feel bad she had to help me down the stairs yesterday. She looked at Stacy and gave her a warm smile “Hi Xoila, Hi Stacy” 

Stacy's attention pulled away from whatever she was looking at outside the kitchen window “Hey Z, why do you always say our full names?” she tilted her head and said “ You know you could just call me what you used to when you would play with Xo and me when we were pups...just maybe not Little S because I'm proud to say ‘I’ have indeed outgrown that” She said triumphantly with her hands on her hips. Zari just laughed a little and said “Okay just don't start calling me little Z I'm still older” Stacy just laughed and patted Zaris's head much to her dismay.

Zari looked at her and pouted I was about to say something to her about teasing Zari for being small but then I heard Jake speak “Alright everyone quiet down so we can get you all out and ready for today's event.”

That was always the signal to get in line and await instructions, Zari, Stacy, and I all fall in line at the end like we always do. Why the end of the like you may be wondering?

Well, it's not because we get the best jobs if you're all the way at the end. Nah it because we are below everyone so we have to be at the very end out of respect, and well we did have an incident a couple of weeks ago because we were unaware of our position in the werewolf hierarchy. So there we were...

*a few weeks ago*

 •3rd POV•

Xoila and Stacy walked into the kitchen a few minutes later than usual so they didn’t get to mingle with the rest of the staff. Jake signaled for everyone to get in line for duty assignment They got in line and ended up right smack in the middle at the moment they didn’t think much of it. Much to everyone's surprise alpha Cadmar came into the kitchen and scanned the room as if he was searching for something.

Stacy and Xoila seemed a bit confused they looked at Zari hoping she would know what was going on but just gave them a silent shrug from her spot at the end of the line.

Then she got stiff all of a sudden her eyes as big as saucers, they both had a strong feeling telling them what that look meant.

They turned back to Cadmar who was fuming standing right in front of the pair. Cadmar grabbed Xoila by the hair pulling her head back. Stacy began hitting Cadmar who seemed unfazed by her assault, he shoved Stacy to the ground and then signaled Jake.

He came and restrained Stacy pulling her to the end of the line and holding her in place. Zari seemed to stand straighter and started to shake out of fear, Stacy was torn she wanted to try and reassure Zari but she had to get Xoila away from Cadmar.

Stacy thrashed and looked to Jake pleadingly “Don’t let him do it! She didn’t do anything!” Stacy thrashed around more trying to break free from his grip. As she continued she searched his eyes for any emotion but she couldn’t see any just Jake keeping his gaze focused anywhere but where Cadmar was.

Then she flinched when she heard the first strike ring through the air, She tore her gaze away from Jake and then saw as Cadmar continued to strike Xoila on her face.

He pulled her hair harder “Why don’t you know your place?” Xoila didn’t respond she just kept eye contact as she looked at him with questioning eyes. He struck her once more “Answer me!!!” he roared, Stacy tried harder now unleashing her true strength to easily break his hold.

‘DON’T’

Stacy flinched and then Cadmar threw Xoila down to the ground and circled her, “Not gonna talk?” his anger seemingly increasing. The beating continued and Xoila only shielded her face and her chest to keep him from striking.

*back to the kitchen*

So yeah we are at the back of the line because we don’t want any more authority issues but... in bigger news, as Jake goes down the line handing out assignments I started to think about what we could do to leave the pack grounds undetected?

It would be like simple right we could mask our scents and then only have one bag with our necessities. Make sure we wear black clothes so we won't be spotted and make sure we move as quietly and as quickly as possible kinda Super Saiyan style (use our speed to be gone in a flash).

Should I tell Zari to leave with us as well? I sneak a glance at her she looks so sad, maybe I should ask her and tell Oris over the phone today just so he knows that I'm bringing someone else. I hope he doesn’t mind.

Then I hear Jake telling Stacy that she’ll be cleaning the alpha floor with 2 others. Then he looks at me “Xoila you and Zari will assist Stacy with the cleaning of the alpha floor you will all be dismissed an hour earlier due to festivities.”

he paused and then leaned in a little closer and in a hushed tone said “Try to finish quickly and the day is yours” I was taken aback why was he being so kind? Was it because of the incident a couple of days ago? I looked into his green eyes searching for the lie in them. 

I searched and the ginger wasn’t lying there was honesty and… regret?? He smirked making his freckles more visible and said “I don't like how he treats you, Stacy or my sister” I only nodded and bowed my head because I could sense Brice had walked in “Is there a problem with this omega Jake?”

Jake simply raised my head and forced me to look at him he silently apologized with his gaze and tossed my face “No I just wanted to make sure my instructions were clear” and then he walked towards his brother “What is it, Brice?”

Brice gave me a disgusted look and then looked at Jake and bowed slightly “The alpha is requesting the presence of the beta” Jake nodded and then signaled for us to leave when he waved his hand and walked out Brice following in suit.

Everyone then scattered and Zari, Stacy, and I grabbed the little Janitors cart with all the cleaning supplies we stopped by the laundry to pick up the fresh sheets for the rooms on the Alphas floor and then made our way to the elevator.

Once we all got in I clicked the button for the 7th floor the button lit up and then the doors closed and the elevator started to move. After we passed the second floor Stacy finally spoke “So what did the Weasley want?” then Zari winced “HEy” and then I turned to look at them laughing.

“Jake said if we clean the floor up quickly the day is ours,” I said with a smirk. Stacy looked shocked and Zari looked like she was going to cry. I looked at her and then said “Its okay Zari at least he still cares for you.” we passed the 4th floor and then Zari spoke “He was always nicer than Brice… Dad would be disappointed..”

Zari looked down. Stacy and I couldn’t help but feel a little bad we all lost someone that day out of the 6 casualties her Dad was one of them. After the attack when Cadmar got back he had Brice take over as Delta and naturally Jake got Beta. I do remember that Jake would never pick on us he would just kind of stay out of it usually doing his own thing.

I smiled at her and then the door dinged open they walked out with the sheets for the rooms and I pushed the janitor cart out. I sighed at the sight of the hall there was about seven doors and only 3 of us. I rolled up my sleeves and then looked at Stacy and Zari who were both already ready and awaiting orders with silly grins on their faces.

I shook my head and giggled a bit then said “We’ll take 2 rooms each and clean the master bedroom together” they both nodded and saluted and in unison “Ay Ay Captain” I rolled my eyes at their giggles and put my hair into a bun then said “let's get to it”

*Sometime later*

We had finished the master bedroom and as we walked out I checked the time on my phone it was 6:09 pm we had finished faster than I anticipated given that all the rooms were basically their own studio apartments.

I smirked and we all walked out of the master bedroom with all of our cleaning supplies and headed for the elevator. We went down to the laundry room gave the dirty sheets to the people in that station then went to the kitchen and put all our supplies away.

After putting everything back into their place we headed straight to the dormitories (the basement). Zari said bye then went to her room to go shower and change. Stacy and I headed into the room, right as I closed the door I felt the Motorola vibrate in my pocket so I pulled it out and flipped it open "Hello?" I asked a little confused because it was too soon for a phone call but then I heard 

“Xo!! My sweet Xo... you ready to talk?”
