Kyle’s POV
I’m pounding hard into; ‘what’s her name again?’ Missy, Maisy, Melissa; who cares... She is some she-wolf who wanted to have a ride on my d**k. I know it’s not the best scenario, but it’s what needs to happen to release my tension. She squealed loudly as I continued pounding into her. “Not another screamer, please?” Josiah, my wolf said, rolling his golden eyes at me. His black fur was standing on end as another scream echoed around the room. “You need to find our mate.”
“It’s not as if I haven’t been looking. I still have needs,” I snarled back at him as I unleashed my load into… f**k! What’s her name? I pulled out my d**k and rip off the condom from around it. The one rule I gave myself if I was going to screw a she-wolf, I had to wear a condom. I don’t want any unwanted arrivals on my doorstep.
“Kyle baby; we need to talk about us,” Maddie, that’s it, exclaimed.
“What about us Maddie…” “It’s Molly,” she huffed, getting off my bed and putting on her ‘barely a pair’ of pink shorts and boob top.
“Sorry, Molly. What did you want to talk about?” I chuckled, pretending I hadn’t just forgotten her name again. It wasn’t the first time I hadn’t remembered someone’s name, and it won’t be the last. I don’t really care who she is as long as I can release my tension. That’s why I have a different she-wolf on my arm every other day. Millie… “Molly…” Right! Molly knows we have fun for a few days, and I move on to the next one. It’s been that way for the last 2 years.
“When are you going to make us official?” Molly questioned, although it was more of a statement.
She barely finished her sentence, and I choked on my own spit. Official? We’ve only been screwing each other for less than a week, and she’s not the only one. I need to give her the, ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ talk. “Molly, you are a great girl and everything, but there is nothing official about us. You are not my mate, and we had fun; that’s all,” I explained, heading into the bathroom and shutting the door behind me. I hope she takes the hint and leaves. She knew from the start it was just s*x and there was nothing more to it. She’s not the only one I f**k, there is no need for the ‘let’s get serious’ talk.
Twenty minutes later, I walked out of the bathroom in my black dress pants and headed to my closet to get a button-up shirt from the hanger. “What the f**k are you still doing in my room?” I yelled at Maddie.
“Molly,” Josiah reminded me, rolling his eyes.
“Whatever,” I answered back.
“Kyle, Babe,” Molly cooed, jumping off the bed, her hands outstretched to place them on my chest. I took a step back from her, glaring.
“I am Prince Kyle Jackman to you. I am not Kyle and I am not babe. Refer to me as Prince or your highness,” I said dismissively, waving my hand for her to leave. She still doesn’t move; “I SAID GET THE f**k OUT,” I screamed as she raced to the door.
“You can’t treat me like some cheap bimbo. We slept…” “Correction, we f****d, that is all. That is what the deal was. We have a good time, and then we part ways,” I seethed, stopping her from speaking. It’s what her and her friends do; they sleep around to try to move up in the world, hence why I treated her like a cheap bimbo.
Molly bursts into tears, running out of the room before screaming over her shoulder; “My father will hear about this.” I shrugged, not caring who her father is or what he could do to me.
“Who is her father again?” I asked Josiah.
“Lord Salisbury,” he answered in a tone, telling me I should know since I screwed his daughter a few times.
“Oh! Right,” I stated, not liking what happened between Molly and me even more. If I knew she was Lord Salisbury’s daughter, I wouldn’t have looked twice at her. “The red-headed, pompous trash bag who thinks because he belongs to one of the oldest packs, he has a right to throw his ideology in my face.”
“The one and the same,” Josiah responded, chuckling away to himself. “Wonder what he would do if he found out a hybrid has been living under our roof for the past two years.”
“I’m not going to tell him,” I stated, putting on my green dress shirt and walking out of my room.
The conversation got me thinking about Lucas and what we were doing today. Dad got me to learn sign language and told me about a pack that lost the Alpha, Luna, Beta’s mate, Gamma and Gamma’s mate because someone attacked them. The only witnesses were three ten-year-old pups. They didn’t know who the man was because they were hiding in the car.
Their Beta had been attending our annual report meeting and returned to chaos. There were only a handful of survivors; the Alpha’s son and daughter were two of them. Lucas is my age and was only 12 when his parents died. What made matters worse; he was enchanted by his mum before she passed. Hiding the fact, he was a hybrid. Him, his sister and their Gamma’s daughter were enchanted together. Part of the enchantment took one of their senses away. He can’t hear anymore, while his sister can’t speak and the gamma’s daughter can’t see. All three of them learned to cope with their disabilities. I would be devastated if that happened to me.
Dad decided to help Lucas by bringing him here when he finished his studies to teach him how to be an Alpha. He thought by teaching him, he would show him what he expected in an Alpha. That’s not the only reason he is here; but we have been sworn to secrecy about the rest of it. I wasn’t opposed to him coming; I just didn’t know what to expect from someone who couldn’t hear. “Hence the sign language lessons,” Josiah huffed, lying down in my mind.
Yes; hence the lessons. I was surprised at how well Lucas and I got along. We are close in age, so I shouldn’t have been. I consider him as one of my closest friends. “They should be arriving soon. We need to meet up with King Isaac to go over any last-minute details,” Josiah reminded. He has always been prim and proper. I’m not allowed to call him Jos, and he still refers to my parents as King and Queen. I headed into the kitchen and grabbed a plate of bacon, eggs and toast before heading to dad’s office.
I knocked gently on his office door and waited for dad to invite me in. I have walked in on mum and dad in a ‘less than compromising’ position a few times. “You thought you would have learned the first time; but noooo,” Josiah snickered sarcastically, rolling around in my head.
“Enter,” I heard Dad’s deep baritone voice call out. People say my voice sounds like his. I don’t know; I can’t really see it. I ignored Josiah and opened the door to his office.
“Are there any last-minute preparations we need to make before Lucas gets here?” I asked, taking a seat on the black leather chair across from his desk.
“No,” he answered, looking up from his paperwork as I started eating my breakfast. I could have walked straight in because mum isn’t here. I wonder where she is. She knew today was important. “Your mother will be joining us when they arrive,” Dad added as though he could read my thoughts. How does he do that? “I want Hunter and Jacob to be there too,” he continued, and I give him a swift nod. Hunter will be my beta and Jacob my gamma when I take over as king. We have kept the fact that Lucas is a hybrid from everyone. Besides those who survived with him; only Mum, Dad, their beta and gamma, Hunter, Jacob and I know this bit of information. When we found out his wolf heard everyone coming during training, we were genuinely surprised. We were confident he would be a great Alpha and be able to protect his pack. “I will be having Cody and Nathan there.”
Cody is Dad’s brother and beta. Nathan is his cousin a few times removed and gamma. Mum had complications with my birth, and they decided not to give me a sibling. Hunter and Jacob are Uncle Cody’s sons.
“Are we going to tell everyone who Lucas is?” I asked, placing the last of my bacon in my mouth and stashing the plate onto the coffee table.
“That would put a target on his back,” Dad responded, and I nodded my head. Why didn’t I think about that? I asked myself. “Steven, Lucas and I came up with an answer if anyone asked. We will be telling people he is the nephew of the late Alpha Derek. He has a family resemblance so no one will question it.”
“And everyone is happy to go along with us re-establishing the Silver Falls Pack?” I continued my questioning as a knock comes on the door and Uncle Cody puts his head around it.
“Our guests have arrived,” he stated, looking between dad and me. “Hunter and Jacob have shown them to their rooms, and they will meet us in the throne room in an hour.”
“Thank you,” dad said politely, getting out from behind his oak desk. “We will finish up here and head down shortly.”
Uncle Cody nodded before turning on his heels and shutting the door again. I’m not sure why but today is going to be an eventful day. Even Josiah is pacing around in my head and if I didn’t know any better, it was like he was strutting. His black ass was swaying behind him.
“I’m not strutting,” Josiah scoffed, lying down again. He can barely keep still because he is on edge about something. It must be apprehension about what could potentially happen to our friend if we are not careful. “Yeah; that’s it,” he said, giving me a smirk only a wolf could give. I don’t know what his problem is. I will have to be wary of everyone around us when we do the ceremony.
I get up to leave the office, taking a few steps to the door. “Kyle, take your plate,” Dad called me back. I rolled my eyes, picked up the plate and headed to the kitchen before going to the throne room.
