Taming the mafia man

This is a story about a time in New York when the city is separated into two different parts – the rich and the poor.  Nobody dared to marry outside of their category but one couple, Gabriel Buntley (or so you think)  and Alexis wexel.  But let's go back four months. Alexis worked as a server at the city's well known club, The Neon Lights.  This particular night went a little different. Alexis did her regular preparations for work, makeup, hair,flashy outfit that felt very expensive , heels, the usual.  She went to see her best friend of 12 years and current roommate.Riley, a very sassy yet classy brunette with a nice creamy chocolate skin and bright blue eyes, the bartender to find out which area she’d be working tonight. “Hey let me see the book,” Alexis said over the loud music booming through the club. “Here you go, and just so you know, Blake is here and she is not happy,” Riley said. Blake is the mean girl in the club who always gets what she wants and does what she wants, she is very pretty and you can see why all the guys like her with that nice curly blond hair but has a poisonous snake for a tongue.   “Thanks, and Blake’s never happy.  Guess where my area is tonight, High Rollers you know what that means,” Alexis  replied with an eye roll.   As Alexis  made her way to the High Rollers section she saw Riley’s twin brother, Roland escorting a man out of the club. The man was maybe in his 40’s or 50’s and he was definitely drunk. Roland had the same creamy chocolate skin and blue eyes but he had dyed his hair a nice fire red color and was very well built with plenty of tattoos. Alexis always had a thing for Roland since they were kids but she never told him because he was her best friend's brother and like a brother to her since she lost her brother in a car crash two years ago.   When Alexis  got to the High Rollers she took orders around the table and felt a graze across her butt. She turned to see a guy that looked to be in his mid 40’s, dark circles under his eyes and thin shaggy silver hair. “Sir, you can't touch the servers.  Please stop before you have to get escorted out,” Alexis  stated. She walked away to put in the orders for the drinks at the bar, waited for the drinks, then headed back to serve the customers.  When she got back she passed out the drinks and saw a new guy at the table.  Alexis  was struck by his good looks.  He was handsome in his white button up that clung to his biceps with his sleeves rolled up to his forearms showing multiple tattoos.  His hair was pushed back in a messy way  that he seemed to really pull off and he had bright blue eyes like the ocean on a clear day. Alexis  got knocked out of her daydreaming by the sound of his rude, husky  voice. “Why do you people always have to be so lazy?’’ the deep voice asked.   “What do you mean you ‘people, sir’?” Alexis  responded while trying to contain the sass in her voice. “Well, how can your job be to serve but when someone gives you their order you don't answer, and what kind of name is Lilac?” said the husky  voice. Alexis  used her middle name on her name tag to stay safe from the creeps at work. “Well sir, what do you want to drink?” Alexis asked with sass. “Whiskey, neat with mint rubbed on the rim,” he replied. Alexis turned to the guy's bodyguard and asked, “would you like something to drink also?” “No thanks.” Alexis  stormed off to the bar to get the man with the husky  voice for his drink and took a little time to rant to Riley about how rude the guy was. “Why do they have to be so rude yet so cute?  Get me a whiskey, bottom shelf,” Alexis  said while trying to calm down.  “Here you go. Dont worry about him you know rich ones are always conceded  ” Riley replied as she slid the drink across the bar. Alexis returned to the High Rollers and sat the drink down then she went around the table and picked up the empty glasses.  Suddenly she felt a tug on her shirt and saw the same old guy from before. “Sir, you have to go now,” she stated with anger in her voice.   “Let’s ha have a lit tle bit of fuun bab baby,” the drunk guy slurred. Alexis  stormed off to tell Roland and get some backup but saw the old guy being escorted out of the club by the rude guy's bodyguard. “My hero,” she thought.  “ Thank you very much” Alexis  said  “You really should be thanking me i told him to do so” the husky voice said  “Excuse me” Alexis  whips her hair around in confusion.  “Yea i didn't like the way he was bothering you and he was pretty drunk already” the husky voice stated Alexis  feels a rough tap on her shoulder and turns to see Blake and Ms.Alvin, her boss. “How may I help you,Ms.Alvin?” Alexis  said confused  “Sorry to interrupt but Blake here said that you had a high roller escorted out of the club, and i wanted to see if that was true”. Ms.Alvin said sternly  “Yes I did, he wa..”Alexis  started  “well that's it you're fired i can't have you here anymore, disrespecting a high roller like that is acceptable.” Ms.Alvin stated firmly  Alexis  nodded and her head felt a hand in the pocket of her skirt. She turns to the guy behind her and looks at him confused and pulls what felt like paper out of her pocket. “Whats this?” Alexis  asked  “Its my card come see me for a job interview, I see that you need it” the guy said apologetic  Alexis smiles and nods her head at him and makes her way to the locker room. When she reaches the locker room she sees Blake getting ready to go also. “I knew you wouldn't last long, your little friend is next.” Blake said “ you always have something to do with everything and you won't be bothering her unless you want boss to know what you do to get extra tips” Alexis replied                              Later that night Alex went back and forth about looking at the card the guy gave her and how she will pay rent this month. “Maybe i should go to the interview tomorrow, but what's his name?” Alexis  thought “Gabe Buntley, owns the Buntley hotel, has a sister and two brothers, no kids, single” Alexis  thought Alexis soon falls asleep and dreams about Gabe and how distracting it might be working for him and what she might do with no degree. The next morning Alexis woke up, had her morning coffee fed her pet dog jagger and hopped in the shower to get ready for her interview. After a twenty minute singing section with beyonce' Alexis puts on her white button down shirt black slacks and black heels, hair in a side braid and red lipstick. walking back into the kitchen Alexis sees Riley pouring herself a cup of coffee. “Good morning to you sleepyhead. Rough night?”Alexis questioned jokingly “yes actually, i had to deal with Blake all night. I'm pretty sure she's trying to get me fired too.” Riley said “yea she told me that last night in the locker room before i left i didn't tell you because i didn't want to mess up your flow” Alexis replied “I see. Why so dressed you this morning?” Riley asked “Job interview. Remember the rude guy i told you about” Alexis said  “Yea” Riley replied  “well when a really drunk highroller touched me again he had his bodyguard escort him guy out the club and saw me get fired so he gave me his card and told me to come for a job interview” Alexis said “That's kind of cool, see that's a sign that you had to leave that club and had big things going for you.” Riley said “Yea well i have to go if i'm going to make it to the interview.”Alexis said “Alright see you later for dinner” Riley replied     Alexis leaves the apartment hops in a cab and makes her way to the interview. When Alex gets to the hotel she begins to get nervous  “What if he doesn’t like me, what if I say something wrong, I can’t mess this up I need to pay my rent?” Alexis thought  When Alexis gets into the hotel she sees a huge marble deck with stacks of paper and cups of pens behind the desk was a beautiful lady with blond curly hair and nice soft blue eyes and red plump lips and a face with barely any makeup. Her black blouse and black blaster and pants set looked like it was freshly pressed. She looks up and says “ Hi you must be Ms.Wexel, Mr.Bentley is waiting in his office for you.” As Alexis reaches the office door she knocks and waits for an answer. “Come in and close the door behind you” Gabriel said  Alexis enters the room and sits in a chair in front of the his desk and shakes his hand, “Good morning Ms.Wexel, I have a few questions and I would like you to answer them truthfully, if that’s ok with you?” Gabriel asks  “Sure sir that’s fine with me” Alexis replied  “First question, what is your living situation right now?” Gabriel asked  “Currently I’m living with my best friend in an apartment.” Alexis replied  “Second question, if you were to get the job what would you think of living with me, meaning being able to be with you at every given moment?” Gabriel asked “ Well I would have to give notice to my best friend and landlord, but wouldn’t I just be your assistant?” Alexis questioned  “Third question, What if I needed comforting and being put to bed at a certain time on certain days?” Gabriel asked  “Well sir you're a grown man I would think you wouldn’t have to be put to sleep,but if need be yes .” Alexis replied  Fourth question, what would you deem acceptable feeding times ?” Gabriel asked  “Well when you wake up in the morning after showering washing your face and brushing your teeth, then at around 12pm for lunch, at 4pm fruit if wanted as a snack and then for dinner a well balanced meal after a nice shower, but sir why are you asking me all these questions?” Alexis replied  “Well I….” Gabriel started “Dad, can we go home and I'm ready to play with Max?”  “Dad, is he interviewing me for… a position as a nanny?” Alexis thought
