“ Be quiet, help me after you put Leo to bed, now I need help removing the bullet!” Gabriel yelled
“Well I can’t help it when you are walking in Here barely alive and covered in blood.” Alexis whispered
“Fine but hurry.” Gabriel said
Alexis goes to put Leo to bed telling him that the pizza will be here after dinner time and to go to sleep and have it for breakfast the next day, then heads up to Gabriel’s room and finds him leaning on his tub shirtless pouring vodka on the wound.
“Here let me, I have my gauze and my first aid kit. I'll pull it out and stitch you up.” Alexis said
“Wait, you know how to stitch up wounds?” Gabriel asked wincing
“Yes I do I went to med school but ended up having to leave because I couldn’t make the payments that’s why I worked at the bar for four years.”Alexis replied pulling the bullet of his side
“So how do you know how to stitch?” Gabriel asked
“Well one thing that I did learn before was how to stitch up people without leaving a scar, that is if you stop moving.” Alexis said
“I’ll try, hey did Leo eat before bed? I know I came in around that time?” Gabriel asked
“Uh he said one of the moms fed him before I picked him up but I still ordered the pizza he asked for and when u came in I told him he could have it for breakfast.” Alexis said
“Alexis did you really trust the moms at the game to feed my child?” Gabriel asked
“He said that they fed him . I didn’t see anything wrong with it.” Alexis replied
“Just next time tell him to not take it from them.” Gabriel said
“Yes sir.” Alexis replied rolling her eyes
“See now you're all patched up,all you have to do is keep it clean and away from water.” Alexis said
Alexis stands up to collect the kit but Gabriel grabs her by the waist with one hand and cups her face with the other, looking in her eyes deeply he moves down closer to her lips biting his. Alexis stands there limp waiting for him to kiss her until he says “foods here” breaking the silence.
“Meet me downstairs if you’re hungry.” Gabriel said
“Ok I’m coming.” Alexis said
“Am I crazy or did he really tease me,does he want me, do I want him, but I can’t have him because he's married to Leo’s mom.” Alexis thought
Alexis makes her way downstairs and sees Gabriel talking to a beautiful lady with long legs smooth tan skin covered in a red pencil skirt and a whit button up blouse and black blaster, hair as black as cole and nice brown eyes that look like pools of honey. They seem like they are arguing about something.
Alexis proseds to make her way downstairs to get her pizza.
“Maybe if I’m quiet and slow they won’t see me.” Alexis thought
“Hey you leave I’m pretty sure he’s done with you” the lady said
Alexis points to the pizza box
“What now Gabriel you buy your whores pizza now.” The lady asked
“No, that’s the new girlfriend I was telling you about .” Gabriel replied
“Girlfriend… me?” Alexis
“And who told you you can barge in my house!?” Gabriel asked yelling
Alexis walks up to Gabriel and stands next to him looking confused at the lady.
“Who are you?” Alexis asked
“I’m his wife and mother of his child.” The lady said
Chapter 5
“Wife?” Alexis thought
Alexis pushes Gabriel and throws her hands up in anger storming up the stairs slamming the door.
“Why would he kiss me ,feel me up and act like he wants me. Why wouldn’t he mention her in the meeting, why isn’t she a part of the nightly routine?” Alexis thought
Alexis hears a knock on the door and Gabriel says “ open the door, I need to talk to you.”
“Go away!” Alexis screams
“ I’m not married, she is my ex wife.she causes problems like this she doesn’t want to go through the divorce I’ve tried for years, I even got a restraining order on her.” Gabriel said
“ Then why is she here if you have a restraining order on her?” Alexis asked
i need to talk about the court tomorrow.” Gabriel replied
“What does that mean for me and Leo tomorrow?” Alexis asked
“You still have a job, we are just finalizing the divorce.” Gabriel said
“Ok well I’m going to bed, see you tomorrow afternoon?” Alexis asked
“Night.” Gabriel said
The next morning
Alexis walks to Leo’s room and knocks on it to tell him “get ready for school pizza for breakfast.”
But there was no response so Alexis goes in his room and he’s not there.
“Maybe he is eating already.” Alexis thought
She makes her way to the kitchen and she heard a loud “bang”.Alexis runs the rest of the way to kitchen “are you ok”Alexis said
“No glass fell and cut me in the leg.”Leo said
“I don’t think you're going to school today. I'll talk “to your dad about it,ok?” Alexis asked
Alexis calls Gabriel:
Alexis: Hello.
Gabriel: I’m on my way to the count house. What's the problem?
Alexis: Leo was getting a glass of water I’m guessing while I was getting dressed and it fell and cut him pretty bad so I’m going to do what I can but I think I’ll take him to the hospital.
Gabriel: Why would you let him do it himself?
Alexis: I didn't. I was still in my room when he woke up and when I went to wake him he wasn’t in his room so I went to the kitchen and he was cut.
Gabriel: Well do what you can and take him to the doctor. I'll have one of my men pick you guys up
Alexis:Fine we’ll be ready.
“Your dad is sending a car for it to go to the doctor but first I’ll do what I can first.” Alexis said
“Ok.”Leo said
20 minutes later in the car
“When you get in don’t say anything we are taking him to the basement, follow right behind me.”
“Why can’t I talk to anyone ,what are they hiding, is it connected to the weird delivery the other day?” Alexis thought
Alexis and Leo get to the basement and Alexis hears gunshot shots and men grunting in different rooms and towards the end of the dark hallway was the door with the sign “the doctor”.
Alexis entered the room and saw a man with a jawline sharper than a knife blue eyes lighter than the ocean on a clear day, hair darker than night and pecs that peaked through his crisp black shirt with every movement.
“What happened to the little guy?” The doctor asked
“He cut his leg open when reaching for a glass in the cabinet. I cleaned it pretty good and wrapped it until I called Gabriel and he told me what to do.” Alexis said
“Who are you?” The doctor asked stitching up Leo
“I’m the new nanny for Leo.” Alexis replied
“Well since you take care of him…”the doctor starts
“Put this cream on every hour, give him kids Advil and keep it wrapped in clean, I know.” Alexis said
“How did you know that?” The doctor asked
“Nursing school.” Alexis replied
“Well do that for about a week and he’ll just have a scar on his leg, and hey can you stay back for a little bit so i can ask you something?” the doctor asked
“Okay sure.” Alexis replied
“Are you dating anyone?” the doctor asked
“No but I don't know you well enough, I don't even know your name.” Alexis replied
“Well my name is Victor Vergara. I work for Mr. Buntley and I love doing what I love, which is being a doctor and traveling.” Victor said
“Well I also have a question, what made you ask that question?” Alexis asked
“Well I want to take you out for dinner tomorrow to get to know you better and talk outside of theis creepy basement.” Victor replied
“Well i don't know you and i really have off days so i would have to ask for the night off.” Alexis said
“Well ask him and text me later, i'll give you my number.” victor said
thirty minutes later
“Hey Gabriel, how was the court?” Alexis asked
“Good, I am finally a free man and I have a question for you.” Gabriel said
“What’s up?” Alexis asked
“Do you want to go out on a date with me this weekend?” Gabriel asked
