The Ball

“Hold up when did you even tell them because we came up with the whole “married” idea two days ago!” Alexis yelled frowning 

“I didn't tell them we had Leo over at their house when me and Riley were at the hospital with you. so i know for a fact that Leo told them.” Gabriel said standing up grabbing Alexis’s waist trying to calm her down

Alexis wraps her arms around his neck and lays her face into his chest breathing in his sent to calm herself down, she lifts her head and looks into his eyes and says “ What do I have to do? Do you think I need to change? this is way to inappropriate to meet your parents.” 

“One you just have to be yourself two you don't have to change you look fine dont worry and three i want you to see something.” Gabriel said 

Gabriel pulls the ring box out of his suit jacket pocket opening it revealing a fifteen carat princess cut ring with a gold band engagement ring, Alexis looks up at him with her eyes wide.

“What is that?” Said trying to hold in her excitement 

“This is your engagement ring to prove to everyone that we are married, I was going to wait to give it to you before the ball but since i know my mom will go crazy if she doesn't see a ring on your finger.” Gabriel replied

“No you must be crazy if you think i'm going to wear that to pretend to be your wife. I know that must be expensive.” Alexis exclaimed 

“No i'm not crazy and i will spend any amount of money on you no matter what.” Gabriel said sliding the ring finger 

Alexis lifts up her hand and shakes her head, Alexis looks up to say something but is interrupted when blondie walks in. Blondie walks into the office with red lace lingerie, a long black trench coat and black knee high boots.

“Hey boss, I know your meeting with your parents in an hour and I know that they come and you are really tense. I was wondering if i can help you with that?” Blondie said closing the door behind her

Alexis leans over and whispers into Gabriel's ear consummating a plan.

“Yea i could use some help.” Gabriel agreed 

Blondie walks over to Gabriel and plants kisses all over his face. Alexis stands up from hiding under the desk and puts the tip of her gun directly on Blondie's head. 

“What did I tell you trick!” Alexis said worningly 

“b***h i can do what i please, like i told you before you dont scare me.” Blondie replied 

“And don't you remember me telling you to stay your ass away from my man.” Alexis said pushing the gun deeper into her head

“You told me to stay away from him but it looks like you're not doing your wifely duties so i'm obviously going to take over.” Blondie replied sliding down on Gabriel 

Alexis follows Blondie with her gun still on her head and removes the safety.

“What i als…” Alexis starts being interrupted but the door swinging open 

“Veronica Alice Vhan get your ass up off of that damn floor, what in the devil's name are you thinking.” Gloria said loudly and firmly 

“I'm sorry madam i wasn't thinking.” Blondie replied 

“I'm sorry but don't tell me you're going to start lying now, you have been coming at me and Gabriel more than usual since I took over when he got shot. The level of disrespect is boggling my mind right now. You're lucky i dont shoot you right now.” Alexis said crossing her arms 

Blondie rolls her eyes, Alexis places the gun back on her head and says “Say i won't.”

Blondie raises both hands surrendering gathering her things and running out of the office.Alexis puts the safety back on her gun, puts it back in her holster and adjusts herself.

“I'm sorry Mr and Ms.Salvadore but that had to be handled.” Alexis said 

“It's fine honey it was and still is the same way with Javier. I understand the need to stand your ground, and call me Gloria.” Gloria  replied

“What I'm really worried about is how we werent invited to the wedding and had to hear from my grandson that my only son is married.” She continued 

Alexis looks up at Gabriel worried about what to say, Gabriel realizes and squeezes her hand calming her down and says “ I know i just didn't want to pressure her into having a big wedding when she wouldnt have family to support her.”

“Wait how did he know that i didn't have any family i never told anyone that about me that is something i kept to myself.”Alexis thought 

“I get that but we are her real family so i really think you all should have a really big wedding so that we can do the wedding ritchual.” Gloria said 

“Ma i kn…” Gabriel started 

Alexis holds up a finger up at Gabriel causing him to pause mid sentence and look down at her, she steps in front of him taking over speaking. Gabriel tries to get her to pull back the fire he saw in her eyes but she didn't budge.

“If a big wedding is what you want then that is what will happen it will just have to wait till after the ball.” Alexis said firmly 

“That's great darling. that something else i wanted to talk to you about i see you haven't picked a venue or anything for the ball yet i've come to put a little pep in your step.” Gloria  replied 

“Ok well I have a spa appointment to get to. I think we can talk about it on our way there.” Alexis said walking to the door 

 “You are talking my language now honey. let's go and leave these men to talk business.” Gloria replied walking out the door with Alexis.

Two weeks later

Alexis walks out the shower and sees Gabriel in the mirror with his Black pants washing his face and brushing his teeth. Alexis goes over to her side and does the same, she then does a black smokey eye with a matte red lip, curls her hair and puts it into a half up half down style. Alexis goes into the walk-in closet and puts on her red lace bra and panties set, then puts on a black silk  body con spaghetti strap dress,long black feather earrings,a black wristlet and red pumps with an ankle strap.

  “Hey Gabriel, can you zip my dress for me? I can't reach it.” Alexis asked 

“Sure mi amore.” Gabriel responded 

Gabriel walks into the closet and starts to zip Alexis' dress, his slight touch gives her chills. Gabriel places one hand on her waist and turns her around in one swift movement. Alexis places a hand on his forearm catching herself from falling and looks up at him.

“What did you do that for?” Alexis asked 

“I wanted to look at your face one more time before you cover it with that mask.” Gabriel said with a smirk 

“We nee… “ Alexis started

BANG BANG 

Alexis and Gabriel run out of their room, guns drawn out of the hallway, they start to separate until they hear guns release their safety. Alexis and Gabriel start shooting, both men fall and Blondie runs up behind them.

“Not right now blondie you see and hear were in the middle of something.” Alexis said 

Blondie rolls her eyes and says softly “ Boss it's you mom… she's been shot.”
