Normalcy?

CHAPTER SIX

I took permission from the soldiers to walk around. All correctional facilities are the same.

Doctors act like they can understand you when they don't even know an iota of what you're going through.

Shitty pretenders.

A lot of nurses were staring at me. I waved at them and smiled.

I was going to do something bad so I needed to seem normal.

I believe I acted in a normal way.

Believe.

I spotted Lara walking towards a corner. I instantly followed without hesitation.

As she opened the door to her office, I entered with her.

She was somewhat surprised. Then fear gripped her.

I always smelled it.

“Let's talk Lara.”

She sat down and faced me.

It was like a doctor — patient scenario.

“ What's your business with Bryce? I know you were f*****g around with him while he was with me “

Lara relaxed on her chair and uttered a word that made my blood boil.

“So?”

I clenched my fist hard.

“So? Tell me why you wanted me dead.”

Lara smiled.

“ Isn't it obvious? You stole my boyfriend.” She said in a high pitched tone.

I stared blankly.

Does she think I'm stupid?

“ Tell me the reason Lara.”

She got up from her chair.

“ Isn't what I just said a reason?”

I got up from my chair too.

“ You know I'm not stupid. Don't let me find the real reason myself. The day I find it, I will end you.”

She gulped. I smirked.

“ Enjoy your day.”

I walked out of her office and hurried towards my room. I was on the verge of losing it.

The black spots had occupied my vision. I couldn't even see her when I was talking but I didn't lash out.

I didn't lash out.

I gulped down a cup of water and laid on the bed. I know what will happen.

Since I couldn't lash out before, It will affect me.

I tried staying still for a while.

Before a thought could cross my mind, I felt a wave or something like a shock move through me.

My body jerked violently.

I don't remember screaming.

But before I passed out, about five nurses and two doctors were in the room.

Then darkness.
