CHAPTER SEVEN

260 Words
I don't know how long I had passed out but when I woke up, I was at home. Home. With my grandma. I tried getting up, it was then I noticed that I was connected to some hospital equipment. My grandma entered the room alongside some hospital personnel. “ I see you're awake.” She said. It was not like her. She sounded really off and …cold. I nodded. The hospital personnel detached the ropes and rings from my hand. You know what I'm talking about…..those wire—like stuff. I sat upright all the while looking at her. As soon as they left the house, I got up from the bed, took my belongings and left the house. I know a change in behavior when I see one. At this point, I felt disgusted. She called after me. I stopped. “ Where do you think you're going?” She yelled. I turned to face her. I hate when people yell at me. Correct me the way teachers correct students. Don't yell. “ Far from you. It seems I have now become a burden.” She didn't say anything. “ Your parents and I are going back to Thailand.” As expected. I didn't say a word. I crossed the gate and didn't turn back. My mom is Asian and my dad is Black American. In case you're wondering why they were going to Thailand. My mom is from there. I don't know if that information is actually important though. I need to get a job as soon as possible.
