I was beyond frustrated. I didn’t even think that frustrated would have been the right word to use in the current circumstances, and I believe that everyone around me was able to pick up on the way that I was feeling, able to pick up on the unlaying anger that I was doing my very best to suppress. It didn’t take a genius to know why everyone had seemed to disappear whenever I was in the vicinity. They knew better than to stick around and risk being a victim in the event that I lashed out. But that hadn’t happened yet, and even though I hadn’t gotten very far away from the phone call, I was already able to pick up on the effects that the phone call had had on me.
