I turned my face away, desperate to cover myself from the onslaught of water that was flying my way. It was nearly impossible for me to get away from the splatters of bubbles and water as Cerberus shook off his coat—his coat that was actually much longer than I had initially thought it to be, therefore, it was able to hold a lot more water than I had prepared for. I would be lying if anyone ended up asking me what had gotten into me, and why I had actually gone through with my statement of being willing to wash the dog. It hadn’t really been dirty, but I had still gone ahead with it. It gave me a reason to keep an eye on the dog, while staying busy and not allowing myself to get caught up in the web that my thoughts were busy weaving.
