It was like watching your nightmare play out in front of you. How could I have been so careless? After Harry had sent the folder to me earlier that day, I looked through it briefly and had forgotten to lock it in my safe.
Hazel stood over the folder with a horrified and confused look on her face. She began to flip through the folder and I moved to stop her, but she gave me a sharp glare that stopped me in my tracks.
“Hazel, I can explain.”
I spoke frantically. She didn’t respond, she just kept reading through. I watched her knowing that I could not stop her.
