Kai p.o.v
"How is my grand baby?" My grandma asked.
"I'm good grandma," I told her.
"So your sister tells me you got some kids with some girl," She said raising an eyebrow.
I swear Kali get on my damn nerves, she ain't supposed to be telling her my business just for that Imma black mail her ass.
"Yea I got her pregnant a year ago, and I found out the kids are mines," I said.
"Kai now are you sure because I don't want what happened with that one girl to happen again," She said.
I sighed knowing she was talking about my ex, Angela. I met Angela when I was in high school and I was head over heels for that girl. She got pregnant and she swore it was mine until I found out it wasn't. I broke all ties off with her and I haven't seen her since. I swore I would never do that love s**t again just because of her then I met Beauty.
"Grandma I'm sure plus one of them looks like me and the other one has my eyes," I said.
"Well show me a picture of them," She said.
I smiled since I had took hella pictures of them the moment I seen them. I looked through my pictures and found a picture of Aubree and McKenna.
"McKenna looks like me and Aubree has my eyes," I said smiling.
I love talking about my kids. Although I just met them it felt like I've known them all of their life. Kinda disappointed that Beauty just told me about them, but that's fine as long as I'm in their lives now.
"So how is the baby mama?" She asked.
"Grandma I'm telling you I think I'm in love I mean like we just now getting along but I think she'll hold me down," I said.
"Well Kai you need to tell her everything and I mean everything and don't lie either because if she's the one she'll stay through thick and thin," She said.
"Grandma I know you told my daddy the same thing and him and my mama stuck together," I said.
My parents died when I was 13 they got in a car accident so the family business went to me and I was only 13. I'm suprised I'm still alive.
"Kai bring them kids and that girl here for Sunday dinner," She said.
"Ight grandma, I gotta go," I said hugging her.
"Bye boy," She said.
She kissed my cheek and I left the house. When I walked out I seen my sister and her ghetto friends.
"Big brother!" They yelled unison.
I groaned. I don't got time for these little girls.
"What?" I asked irritated.
"Can I go see my nieces?" Kali asked.
I looked her up and down.
"No," I said.
"Come on Kai! Me and my nieces need to bond," She said.
"We don't even bond," I said.
"That's because you barely come here," She said.
"Yea cause of them," I said.
I pointed at her friends. I hated them with a passion. I heard about the s**t they be doing with Kali and it's not like I can stop her but I can make sure no niggas mess with her.
"Man whatever go pack you some clothes I'm in the car," I said.
She squealed then kissed my cheek. I waited on her for like 30 minutes.
"So what are they like?" She asked.
"They fuckin' babies still Kali, they just sleep, cry, and eat," I said.
"Stop being mean to me! Ever since mama and daddy died you changed," She said.
"That's because Kali you been running around here sucking little niggas d**k and f*****g them! You only 17 Kali! You need to stop doing that s**t and focus on school," I said.
"What if I hate school," She said.
"Please everybody hates school but they still go," I said.
"Whatever," She said.
"You know what you should come and live with me and my baby mama and the kids you can learn a thing or two," I said pulling up the drive way.
She started laughing.
"No, I know who yo baby mama is," She said.
"How?" I asked.
"Connections," She said.
I shook my head at her. Fast ass.
I opened the door and went to the kitchen. Beauty was warming the baby's bottles up while on the phone. I took the bottles from her and checked the temperature. It was just right.
"Yea okay bye, see you tomorrow girl," Beauty said.
She hung up the phone and looked at my sister.
"Nice seeing you again Kali," She said.
"You too," Kali said.
"How y'all know each other?" I asked.
Beauty's eyes shifted off Kali and onto me.
"She volunteers at the hospital," She said.
She took the bottles from me and went up the steps. I looked at Kali as she shifted on her feet.
"How many times you been to the hospital?" I asked.
She shrugged her shoulders. I sighed knowing she went back to alcohol and drugs. She fuckin' 16 and already back to that s**t. She started at 13 and I made her go to rehab when I found out but I didn't know she got back on it.
"Go help her with the kids man," I said.
