Rose's POV:
"Rose, honey, it's mom, let me in please?" my mother asks outside my locked bedroom door.
"Just a minute mom," I say as I get off my bed to unlock the door. The second it's open she walks in.
"Dear, your father and I are willing to wait to retire and are going to do what we can to help you find your beloved. Oh, before I forget, your father allowed two young pups to pass through the territory to get to Shadow Moon Pack," she says.
"What pack are the pups from?" I ask mildly curious.
"Blood Moon," she says.
"THE MOST RUTHLESS PACK IN THE WORLD?!?!" I scream at my mom, "IS DAD OUT OF HIS MIND?!?!"
"Calm down dear, they're just passing through, but they'll probably stay a night to rest for the rest of their journey," she says calmly.
"If they're coming here, I'm leaving. I'll go stay with Auntie Katherine in London. I won't be here to watch your downfall," I say.
"Rose, you don't have to be here, just greet them before you leave, please?" she asks, pleading me.
"No, I'm leaving tonight. Let me know when they leave and I'll come home," I tell her.
"Yes dear, I understand," she says and leaves my room.
I quickly pack my overnight bag and a suitcase with enough clothes to last me a few weeks, as naturally they'll have to pass through the territory when they head back to their pack.
"Georgy, can you ready the royal jet please? I'm heading to London on a small vacation," I call our pilot.
"Of course, Princess. Would you like me to call ahead to your aunt's pilot and let them know of our arrival?" she asks me.
"Yeas, please," I say before hanging up. As soon as I'm all packed I head downstairs to my father's study to say goodbye to my parents.
"Mom, dad, I'm on my out now. I promise to call and text every day so you know I'm ok," I tell them.
"Do you really have to go baby girl?" my dad asks from behind his desk.
"Oh, Daddy, you know I'd like to stay and welcome the young pups, but I don't trust their pack. I know we have an alliance with them, but they're still dangerous," I tell him. A look of understanding crosses his features before his face returns to his stoic features.
"It's alright, love, call us when you land please?" he asks.
"Of course dad," I say as I kiss his cheek goodbye.
I quietly leave my parents to their planning for the young pups and head to the royal jet. My personal guard is already ready and waiting for me.
"Princess, your mother linked me to be ready and waiting for you to accompany you on your flight," Aaron, my guard, says.
"Thank you, Aaron, but I have to ask, does you coming along have anything to do with your beloved being in London?" I ask him knowingly.
"Y-yes your majesty, I didn't think you knew about him," he said shyly.
"Aaron, it's my job to pay attention to my guard. Are you going to convince him to come back with us or are you going to stay with him?" I ask him.
"I'd like him to come with us, but I'll leave the choice to him," he says.
"Of course, now the jet is ready, lets go, I'm cold and the sun is coming up, I'd like to get to my aunt before noon," I say.
"Yes, your majesty," was his only reply.
We quickly boarded the jet and took off for London. I fell asleep about 10 minutes into the flight and woke up as the jet landed at my Aunt's palace.
Her palace is at least five stories high, solid brick and cobblestone with moss and vines growing on the outside walls, usually that would make the place look overgrown and ugly, but there are roses on the vines and some kind of lily growing in between the moss. It's absolutely beautiful and over the years my aunt has added towers to both the east and west wings of the palace that make it look even more beautiful. The inside is just as gorgeous, marble floors in every room on the ground floor, lush red carpet in each of the fifteen bedrooms, full beds in the guest rooms, two to a room, large oak dressers with vanity style mirrors, queen beds in the royal guest rooms, en-suite bathrooms in all of the royal guest rooms, the dinning hall has royal blue walls, a long oak table with a crimson tablecloth, chandelier candles hanging from the ceiling, the ballroom has light pink colored marble flooring and the walls are painted a brilliant gold color. The entire East Wing tower is a secret library and study for my aunt, that I enjoy with her, it has royal blue carpet, chandelier candles hanging from the ceiling. The West wing is my private suite with crimson carpet, royal blue walls, chandelier lights, I didn't want candles, a four-poster king bed, dark oak dresser, separate matching dark oak vanity, en-suite bathroom with marble floors, claw-foot tub, standing shower and the counter tops were an emerald granite. To say I was her favorite niece would be an understatement, since I'm her only niece, all of my cousins are male and never visit.
My aunt greets me at the door instead of a butler, she prefers to welcome her guests rather than have someone else greet them.
"Rose! What a pleasant surprise!" my aunt, Katherine, exclaims.
"Hi, Auntie," I say as soon as I'm closer to her.
"What brings you to London, child?" she asks me.
"Auntie, I'm nearly 101 years old, I'm not a child anymore. And my parents allowed two pups from Blood Moon Pack to cross our territory to get to Shadow Moon Pack. They're being allowed to stay in my home for a night before they continue their journey, and I didn't want to be there. Their pack is ruthless and I don't trust them," I say.
"Oh, honey, come inside, I'll have Jeremy start some tea," she says.
We go inside and she quickly sends Jeremy to make tea for the four of us, Aaron, my aunt, Jeremy and myself. We go to her public study on the main floor and wait for the tea to be ready.
"Aaron, where's your beloved?" my aunt asks him.
"He'll be here in about two sec-" he says, but is interrupted as Jeremy walks through the door with our tea.
"Your tea, your majesties, my beloved," Jeremy says.
"Jeremy, why didn't you tell me Rose's guard was your beloved? We have to make plans for you to leave with them." My aunt says with a smile on her face.
"Your majesty, we've only just found each other the last time Princess Rose visited," he replied.
"Jeremy, that was over thirty years ago, you mean to tell me you've been without your beloved for thirty years? No disrespect, but how are you still sane dear?" My aunt asks, seriously worried about her server's mental state.
"We managed, ma'am. We face-timed every day, and texted all the time, if I had known I would go thirty years without physical touch, I would've left with him the first chance I got," Jeremy said.
"Well, then it's settled. You leave when they do, and in the mean time you can train Mia to be your replacement. Until you leave, if you're not training, you are to be with Aaron," my aunt says.
"Yes, your Majesty," was all he said,
We all enjoyed our tea and talked about little things and about palace life here in London. Just as Aaron, Jeremy and I took our leave to go to my private suite, my dad calls me.
"Rose, you need to come home, now!" My father yells through the phone.
"Why? What's wrong? Daddy? What's going on?" I ask.
"It's your mother, she's been attacked!" he says.
"When? By who? How?" I ask, trying not to freak out.
"Just under ten minutes after you left, rogue attack, she's fine and is recovering. The rogue in question was taken into custody and is being questioned as we speak," he says.
"Why are you JUST NOW telling me?!?!" I shout at my father.
"Because we've only just gotten information on who sent her, Rose," he said.
"I should have been called immediately, Father," I say.
"She was sent by Queen Josslynn's daughter, Princess Azalea, my almost Queen," he said calmly.
"What do you mean, almost Daddy?" I ask.
"If I hadn't met your mother when I did, your grandfather and Queen Josslynn had agreed that if Azalea and I hadn't met our beloveds before we turned 56, we were to be married. I met your mother at 55, and Azalea, as far as I know, still hasn't met hers," he says.
"Why on Earth would she wait over a century to attack mom?" I ask.
"I don't know Rose, please tell me you're on your way home?" He asks me.
"No, dad, I'm not. I'm not coming home until those pups are back in their territory. I am however going to make a house call to Queen Joss and discuss her daughter's actions," I tell my father.
"Rose, don't start a war between the royals. We can't be to sure that it was indeed Princess Azalea," he says.
"Of course, daddy, I'm going to visit to her anyway, just talk about the peace treaty between the royal families, that's all, I promise," I say sweetly.
"Okay, love, be nice and please give Katherine a hug for me. And tell that boy Jeremy he'd better get his ass over here so Aaron quits complaining about missing him," he says.
"Of course, daddy, I love you, I'm hanging up now," I say and I hang up.
I turn to look at Jeremy and Aaron, "Boys, we have a slight change in plans," I tell them, "Also, Jeremy, Daddy dearest says to bring your ass back with us so'Aaron quits complaining about his beloved'."
The guys just laugh at that.
"Where are we going then, Miss Rose?" Aaron asks me.
"We're going to visit Queen Josselynn," I reply, "we leave tomorrow, for now, I want to soak in my tub and ignore your long awaited love-making and marking. I love you guys though." I turn and walk to my room, leaving them to their business in Aaron's guest room a few doors down.
