A death wish

Malia’s POV

It is no surprise that I haven’t been able to make my escape since Lucas has ordered that I be watched all the time. I was made to do different kinds of menial labour while his men would jab at me.

“Mind if I joined you?”

I heard a voice outside the bathe house and fear gripped me as I began to throw stones which I had kept because I thought it would come in handy.

Aloha Lucas had forbidden that I step foot in the bathing house unless I was summoned so I bathed in the general bathe house of the pack omegas. They would not care much if the men saw them but I, having no wolf and not being able to identify as one of them, felt weird.

I hurried into the small room they gave me. The Omegas usually share rooms in the pack house whenever they stay but I think Alpha Lucas had other plans for keeping me here. Regardless, I was waiting for the right time.

“Slut, come here.” I heard Vanessa, Alpha Lucas’ girlfriend call me as I headed out. I always tried to avoid her although it was hard when she was everywhere and nowhere at once.

I went to stand in front of her.

“What?”

She raised an eyebrow as heard her minions whispering behind her. I stood in front of her defiantly. They will never be able to break me no matter what.

“I need you to clean my training gear.”

“Okay.”

“Just that?”

I grabbed the pile she cradled in her hands and began to walk away but she grabbed the back of my clothes and pulled me toward her which couldn’t be that hard due to the wolf strength she had and I didn’t.

“What are you doing? Let go of me!”

“Are you commanding me/” she asked as I turned around to see the huge grin on her face.

“I don’t want any trouble. Just let me go.”

“And if I don’t?”

I was getting very angry right now. I tore her hands away from me suddenly and for a while, she looked so surprised as if she hadn’t been expecting that.

I have been here for one week and for that one week, she has taunted me but I have only just been defiant, I never made a move to fight her but this time around, I will not let this pass.

“Did you just attack me?”

“If that is what you call it, then yes.”

“I think she just challenged you.” Darcy, one of her minions said with a shocked expression on her face. Perhaps because I am not used to seeing so much people was why I never really understood the purpose of an entourage but I was glad that Daryl had taken his time to teach me even more than I would need.

If I ever see him again, I would let him know how grateful I was.

“Did you challenge me?” dumb if her to ask but if she sees it like that, yes. I will not take any of her insults lying down anymore.

I gave her a daring look. One of the girls whispered in her ear and she nodded and before I knew it, I was ebony dragged outside and immediately, a large crowd gathered around us immediately, cheering and booing. The odds were against me and I was intent in showing then I wasn’t a weakling even if I wasn’t like them.

From the corner of my eyes, I could see Alpha Lucas and Damien come in but I pretended as of I did not see them and faced the i***t standing before me.

“You got what you wanted, a show.”

“You think that is all I want? I want to clip those Wong’s of yours and see you kneel before me and respect me like the superior that I am to you.”

She charged at me with full speed that for a moment, I thought I might not be able to escape but I figured just before she reached me. She spun around angrily just before she lost her balance but caught herself before she fell.

Everyone jeered angry at her to end me but I was ready for her. All of Daryl’s training will come in handy. I lunged for her but just before I reached her, someone pulled my clothes from the back and let me fall. I looked up to see Damien.

“What do you think you are doing?”

“I could have finished that myself.” She said as she walked towards Daryl.

“Yeah, but what if you couldn’t?” You, the Aloha is waiting for you in the office, go now.” He said to me.

“Tell me you did that to save her. But why would you?” I heard her say as I asked but I did not wait to hear his response as I walked away, wondering why he had to interfere. Even if I got hurt, it wouldn’t have mattered to him or to the Alpha as long as I didn’t die.

I closed the door slowly as I walked in. He was sitting with his arms folded in each other behind his desk and he looked up at me as I entered.

Fear gripped me as the uncertainty of what was to happen hit me. This was the first time he would call me into his office .

“I thought I made it clear that you were to only be seen and not heard in this pack.”

“Well, why did you honk I would obey you and do just that?” that came out of nowhere but I did not mind at all.

“I see you still haven’t bent despite everything these past few days.”

“If that were your intentions, I would advice you give it up because it is not going to happen.”

“Do you think I would just let it slide, the stunt you just pulled?”

“What do I care? Kill me if you can or if you will.”

He stood up in a blink of an eye and ran towards me then he grabbed my neck and shoved me to the wall

“You want to die? Then maybe it is time to end your miserable life."."
