The Captain had returned to the hold and informed her and Susan that Max, his Chief Engineer, apologised for his abrupt withdrawal earlier, but would be back soon to take her on a tour of the ship so that they could get to know each other. He had winked at Susan when he said that. Shortly after, they also left stating that the Captain was due on duty soon. But from the way he looked at Susan, she wasn’t sure the Captain was due on duty at all!
