As Kade led her down yet another corridor, Philippa could help but wonder what this man in front of her was like. Although she had felt an instant attraction to him when he walked into the cargo hold, she didn’t know anything about him apart from his name, Commander Kade Apollo, and that he had a twin brother, Captain Jace Apollo. She started wondering whether he was kind and thoughtful, or cruel and evil.
Suddenly stopping in front of her, he let go of her hand and turned to face her. The certainty and excitement had faded from his face, and he now looked troubled and concerned. “What’s wrong?” she asked.
He looked into her eyes, and she felt herself melt beneath his gaze, as he nervously replied, “I just wanted to ask, are you sure about this? Do you really want this?”
