The last couple of days had gone by peacefully on board the Aries, much to Jace’s relief. As the crew were now allowed in the cargo hold to exercise, they had been interacting a bit more with the women and a few more crew members and one of the brothers had formed bonds.
Jace didn’t mind the crew bonding with the women as long as it didn’t interfere with their duties and so far, it hadn’t. As soon as a couple initiated their bond, one of the fully bonded women would take the couple to one side and inform them about the increased chance of pregnancy, but only a few women had contraceptives and the ship was never stoked with them for obvious reasons. So there was a limit to the precautions that could be taken to prevent pregnancies among the bonded women.
