On the Aries
Once the captain had stepped through the internal airlock door, Tauro closed it behind him and Max started sealing it. Returning to where Violet and Jules stood, Tauro took his rifle back from Violet.
“Are you ready for this?” he asked.
“Yes. Damn it. No-one is making me a s*x slave.” Jules stated.
“I’m ready, although I haven’t fired a gun since I was a kid on my dad’s farm,” Violet said.
“All done.” Max said, standing up and tapping on the porthole.
He stood there for a few minutes, before picking up his tools. “They are outside. I’m heading back to engineering.”
“Thanks Max.” Tauro said as Max walked past them.
“Do you think they will try to get in?” Violet asked.
“Probably,” Tauro answered, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her in close to him
