Sat waiting for the results of the pregnancy test, Louise felt her heart rate increase. She was both excited and dreading the results. If they ever got back to Earth, how would her life change with having a baby in tow?
When Lucille told them the results, Louise just froze and tears formed in her eyes. Zac’s elated reaction only made her more upset. By the time he noticed, her tears were streaming down her cheeks.
He wiped her tears away with the pads of his thumbs and asked, “What’s wrong? I thought you would be happy.”
“So, what happens to my life, my career, now? I am to stay at home and look after a baby whilst you gallivant off around the universe?” she cried before pushing him away, jumping off the bed and running out of sick bay.
