Nigel groaned in the seat beside me while I laughed at the picture of a small Nigel with the bottom half of a Captain America on his head and only boxers on the rest of his body. We were at his parents’ for dinner and his mom had brought out the old photo albums.
I had seen some of them before but now she was showing them to me as his girlfriend, not just his best friend. I was having so much fun but Nigel looked like he wanted the earth to swallow him up. I knew I would also have to go through this but for now I was content laughing at his pain.
