1: Reborn
The smell of blood mixed with sweat made her open her eyes, and the lights almost blinded her. She surveyed her surroundings and realized that she was in a place that looked like a basement. There were traces of blood on the floor and a girl lying down at the far end of the room. She didn’t know if the girl was alive or not. She was in a daze before the memories started pouring in. She was Sophia, the Luna of the Crimson pack, and she was just about to get married to the killer whom she took as her mate, only for him to plot against her. It turned out that she was only a tool for him to use and get close to the crown, and when he was already one step closer to the throne, he lit the building she was in on fire and left her there for dead, but the Moon Goddess never disappointed. She was reborn!! Although this body was weak, she could make adjustments. “Hey, she is awake”, the voice of a person whom she never noticed spoke. She saw a huge man with a black eye and with scars from his forehead to his throat. It was as if it divided his face into two. She almost laughed when she saw this. The other man beside him was fair-skinned and had a nice facial appearance. If not for the fact that he was there, she would have thought he was a decent person. “You decided to wake up, are you through playing dead? "For a second I thought you were dead”, the man whom she almost mistook for a gentleman said. Truly, the real owner of the body died and that was how she got to enter her body, but these assholes didn’t know about it. She glared at them. How dare they treat a girl like this, and they still have the guts to laugh? The anger and pain she had been bottling up since she found out about the scheme of her so-called mate exploded. She was going to teach these jerks a lesson; in their next life, they would know how to be humane. “Hey, why are you glaring at me? Do you want me to pluck out your eyes?” the scarred man said. He watched in horror as the frail-looking girl who they had beaten to a pulp stood up and, like a flash, she ran towards them, then with a plop, she fell miserably on the floor. He laughed. For a second, he thought she was going to do something amazing. Fuck! Sophia cursed internally. This body was weaker than she thought. The moon goddess must be joking with her. Of all the bodies, why this useless one? She watched helplessly as the scarred man moved slowly towards her. He raised his foot and, with a bang, it landed on her head. She felt pain, then everything went black. The cold air made her wake up, and she saw herself in the forest. She gritted her teeth and stood up, trying to endure the pain as she tried to adjust to the memories of the girl’s body she was in. The girl’s name was Aurora, and she was one of the lowest Omegas in the pack. She was a very skinny and introverted person and this made her the object of bullying. The pack members would send her on different errands. In fact, she was an errand girl for everyone. Last night, the gentleman she saw in the basement had tried to do some funny things to her, and she mustered up the courage and bit him. This made the man angry. He threw her into the basement and the rest became history. Sophia felt bad for the host, Aurora. She didn’t even bite him hard enough, not even a drop of blood was spilled! How weak was this body? She really wanted to find the owner of this body and talk sense into her. Using the memory of the host, Sophia dragged herself around until she finally found her way home. She almost ran back when she saw the supposed home. It wasn’t even a house. It was a dilapidated building with a leaking roof, sticks for doors, and a floor for bed. When had she, a Luna, ever experienced this kind of suffering? She looked up to the sky and cried. “Moon Goddess, I don’t mind dying again. Just take me away from here.” “Aurora” a voice called from behind her, but she ignored it. “Aurora, Aurora.” The person tapped her. Sophia turned to see a frail, gorgeous-looking girl about the same age as her, looking at her with a worried expression. “Aurora, what’s wrong? I called you but you didn’t respond.” Her mind went blank for a second before she came back to her senses. s**t! She forgot the owner of the body was Aurora. “Sorry, I spaced out” “Are you hurt?” the girl whose name is Hera asked. Sophia looked at the obvious injuries on her body and wondered why she bothered asking, but for the sake of courtesy, she replied. “Yes, that bastard beat me to death” She actually meant it. The bastard really beat the real owner of the body to death. Hera gasped. This was the first time she heard profanity from Aurora's mouth. “Where did you learn that from? What did Mr. Williams do to you?” Hera looked at her friend, who was always too scared to talk or do anything, and she realized that there was something different about her. Her aura was now intimidating, and she looked like she could take on the world. Sophia put her hands on Hera’s shoulder. “Hera, listen carefully, I’m about to tell you something important.” Hera quickly nodded, seeing Aurora’s serious expression, she guessed it would be something very important. “I’m not Aurora, I am actually Sophia, the Luna of this pack who died two weeks ago. Your friend Aurora is already dead, so my soul entered her body.”
