“Coming,” Jonathan said in response to a knock at the door. He had just gotten off the phone with Dr. Hardin to give him a progress report on Riley. The doctor assured him that everything was okay. Thankfully, Riley’s wound to the abdomen was healing well. He wondered who could be at the door. He didn’t sense a threat but was prepared for the worst.
