Shouryajit’s Point Of View The sudden encounter with such a beauty mixed with innocence made me glued to the floor. I don’t prefer such romantic liaison at all as I find them stupid and illogical. I had once made this mistake and will never repeat it again. However, my mind (which is otherwise logical) is trying hard to unleash itself from my clutches . My eyes wanted to explore the depth of these eyes. I took a moment to see her completely through the reflection. She looked chubby with breathtaking curves, having a fair height, having a fair Latino complexion with no makeup. She was wearing a large ring on her baby like nose, and her perfect black curls were gently kissing her waist. Her appearance was divine, just like an Indian Goddess. My hands were touching her perfectly round shoulder and I had this huge urge to pluck the hair from her already blushing cheeks and tuck it behind her ear. “Ahem Ahem!” Shouranya smirked. I immediately took my hands off her as I wanted to thank my sister for bringing me back to the practical world. “I am sorry! I thought you to be someone else!” It was almost like an automated reply out of my mouth. “That’s okay” Her voice was as sweet as premium quality honey. “Yeah it happens all the time with him. He is a bit confused you know, especially when it comes to people and time” Shouranya started taking it out on me. I growled in my mind. “By the way, this is my brother Shouryajit Datta. He is a Corporate lawyer and….” There goes my sister, bragging the hell off about her brother. After giving a ten minute introduction of myself, my sister turned towards me: “And Bhai.” she said with a smile. “This is Sia. A very good friend of mine” I offered my hands “Nice to meet you Sia.! “My words surprised both myself and my sister. The reason being I would never do this normally. I always maintained a high stature and had, an inaccessible personality when it came to Shouranya’s friends, specially female ones. But this girl, Sia, has kind of automated things inside me. And of-course I don’t like it. I don’t believe in hormonal glitches which stupid people call “Love”. Not anymore. She raised her hand for the handshake and as I took it, a low voltage current went down through my whole self. My brain tried to make my mind believe that she was some kind of a static electricity power source but my mind along with my downtown man was not satisfied with that analysis.   Her palm was like those soft stress buster smiley balls which I always hold onto. I squeeze  to reduce stress especially when I am working on high profile cases worth millions. I wanted to hold onto her for longer. “I think you can let her hand go Bhai so that she can explore more dresses? “ My sister whispered with a mischievous smile and I realized that I was holding onto it for a bit long. I had to let her go, but still couldn’t take my eyes off her. She turned around and went inside the changing room. I kept looking at her as she vanished behind those damn doors. My mind started revolting as my eyes couldn’t see her anymore. But this time I didn’t listen to it and started making a phone call to my secretary Stacy for confirming the meeting details with Bruce and Williams’ Inc next week. Work is the best way to get my mind back on track. Alas, there was no network and so, I started playing chess with the autobot in my phone. I waited as Shouranya tried almost every Wedding lehenga in the store , occasionally asking for my opinion. Though I loved her but I hated this. I find shopping a complete waste of time. I know most people won’t agree with me. But I had to do this for my sis, and my opinion was truly valuable to her. Then I saw Sia once more. She was leaving the changing room area with another girl whom I recognized as Shouranya’s school friend , probably her name was Joey. “Hey Joey, Sia, you guys leaving already?” My sister chirped. “Ya darlo, we are starved and need to eat something, you carry on” Joey replied with a wide smile. Oh okay, she won’t stay longer for the shopping. Thank God! The distraction ends here. ! I thought. “Okay dears, I am expecting you guys a day before my D-day.. Cya... ” Sho waved at them with a small grin. Wait a minute, did she just say that Sia is invited to the Wedding? “Thought too soon my friend” my mind smirked. I tried hard not to look at the exit as she went out of the shop but something was automatically attracting me towards her. She was like a strong electromagnet trying to steal my iron like mind. ‘But You won’t succeed my dear’, I smiled sarcastically. “ Those innocent eyes can never trick me to fall on my knees.”
