Chapter 11It didn’t take long that morning for Sean to figure out that Officer Madigan had been right about the local car rental agencies blacklisting his name. Every rep he spoke to over the phone cited the previous night’s police report, which implicated Sean as being negligent for the destruction of the Escort. Word of the incident had traveled quickly, which made sense considering that the service counters of every car rental outfit in Myrtle Beach operated along the same airport wall. The next closest agencies were a couple of hours away, and Sean guessed he wouldn’t have any better luck with them.
