Chapter 27
We met on the beach early the next morning. It was our normal routine, and we didn't want to be doing anything out of the ordinary. Moira joined us and, although Uncle Charlie wanted to, he couldn't get out of a court appearance he had that morning.
As we walked along the shoreline, Roger and some of his friends joined us A few moments later, two other off-duty lifeguards were there as well. Putting my hands on my hips, I looked at Peter, knowing he was behind this.
"Okay Peter, what have you done?"
"Recruitment, Mackenzie. It's clear what Peter has done, and I think it's a lovely idea," answered Moira for Peter.
