Long ago, in ancient times, there were many different creatures that would live freely among each other in America. Werewolves and Lycans, along with other shifters like Witches, Warlocks, Fairies, Chimeras, Vampires. You name it. They were there. Just your casual neighbor. All of them joined together in alliances, creating a bond. Living in nature separate from humans. Although very uncommon back then, these days it is very common to be mates with a human. Our Goddess only knows why, but most packs have relations with human towns whether they are owned by businesses or for work. So you just might stumble upon your mate. That is usually where a blood oath from a witch comes in handy, because sworn secrecy is a must in our world, especially when mated to a human, and that goes for all creatures. In certain packs, if you even try to talk to a human or other species there will be consequences. All to protect you, of course, as they would say, but personally, I think certain Alphas would wipe out an entire race of creatures if they could get away with it and with the Council not being informed because that would lead to serious consequences. The Council of the supernatural world take their roles very seriously. To ensure justice is made peacefully and, as always, respect is earned in their eyes, not just given because of a rank or title. There are six members in total; two elder Wolves, retired Beta mates Adam and Greta Kade, who are my grandparents. Both badass as ever in their prime. A Lycan, the headmaster of Redwood Academy, Winston Whitmore. He’s known for being strict. He is almost as powerful as our royals. An ancient witch, Maya Tova. She is very knowledgeable, a true class act. Old as time, though you can never tell because her beauty radiates. A Sphinx, Romeo Reign, a handsome devil. I hear he was quite the charmer back in his day with his hypnotic yellow eyes. An ancient Vampire, Willow Dawson. Whom also you would never be able to tell how old she was. Her chocolate skin is impeccable! As council members of different species, they help keep order within. The Werewolf and Lycan packs are named after Gemstones and whatever pack you are apart from your wolf also carries that color for their eyes. Gifts, curtesy of the Moon Goddess herself. It’s all written in her journals that have been passed down over centuries for all of our teachings. Over time, certain packs have divided. Meaning, nowadays not all are united and won’t hesitate to battle with other packs. DIAMOND pack is the largest. They hold all the power and for good reason too. The King and his Queen reside there. All members of the Diamond pack are Lycans, even their omegas. Although we have a whole ass council, their word just isn’t as strong as the King or Queen … Quite literally. With a snap of a finger, it’s a done deal. The North has always been their territory, and it is deep within the snowy Rocky Mountains of Northern America. Crystal features and beautiful moonlight setting are generally why the Moon Goddess created these lives past and current, guiding us through her vision. SAPPHIRE pack tends to be on the snooty side. Especially living in upstate Northern East of America. Very high-end luxurious living but, in their own ways, pretty damn sneaky. We’ve been told to be mindful when talking with a Sapphire member. They carry themselves above the other packs, minus Diamond, because every single Sapphire member would do anything to please the royals. EMERALD pack is where I live. I might be biased, but our pack is the best. We have strong bones and amazing leadership. Our Alpha Eric Collins and Luna Talia Collins make everyone feel accepted. It is located in the Southern West of America. Our land is filled with lakes surrounded by large desert rocks and mostly forest greens. We aren’t named Emerald for nothing! PEARL pack is more on the delicate side from what I hear. They are also one of our neighboring packs. Located in the Northern West of America. The scenery is very similar to ours, but their weather tends to be on the colder side, of course, so more winter than summer. Both Emerald and Pearl have fewer pack members than the other five packs, but we still have about a hundred or so more members in Emerald. CITRINE Pack is at the center of it all. Smack dead in the middle of America. They have all our sceneries in one and I hear it’s gorgeous. They are the balance of the Gem packs. Well, mostly back in the day I should say, because a couple's packs now aren’t as civil with each other as they once were but, of course, still keep their alliance with Citrine. Everyone is aligned with them … You’d be a dummy not to. Hence the balance. AMETHYST pack is made up of hot heads. Metaphorically, of course … Imagine if they really turned red when mad though? Eh, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised. They might as well be called the Ruby pack! They are short-tempered wolves. I don’t know what the Moon Goddess was thinking, but it beats me. They are located in the Southern East part of America, with a country setting like what my part looks like, just less sand. I hear they are ruthless … Nothing compared to Onyx, but still pretty out there with violence and generally not to other werewolves but other creatures. ONYX pack is a bit of a mystery. All we know is they are deadly warriors. Even their woman and children. They protect the lower regions and are the Yin and Yang to the Diamond pack. Their territory is the deep South. Desert rock, bodies of water and small forests. Having an alliance with them can go either way, and they tend to hold grudges from what I’m told.
