Oh Goddess

Coming out of the woods we see our Alpha, Luna, my parents, our gamma’s, Stass, Blake and of course Karson standing outside with warriors. Ryder and I give each other a quick look then run over to them thinking we must be under attack. My mother starts running towards me yelling my name and capturing me in a bone crushing hug followed by my father running and yelling.

“Oh thank goddess my baby girl is okay!” I pull away looking at the two of them very confused. “Where the he.ll have you been Hazel? I couldn’t find you anywhere and no one else saw you I was about to send out the entire search team!” Karson yelling at me not caring that my parents are right there. They take a step back and we all see Ryder taking a challenging step towards Karson standing behind me defensively with his arms folded. Karson just glares at him then looks me dead in the face. “And why are the two of you soaked?” He speaks again and now I can see his hard eyes soften showing so much hurt but his anger still running deep through.

“I needed a break!” I snapped at him.. “Surely you can understand why! Bringing everyone to my rescue when I am capable of it myself?! Ha! Please save the sob story for someone else.. I am the Betas daughter and as for us being soaked aside from it not being any of your business whatsoever it’s because we got ice cream and decided to go swimming! Yup you heard that right swimming with our clothes on!” I continue to yell back at him. Everyone watching us intensively not daring to interfer.. My eyes starting to get watery again and as much as I try to push them away they just fall down my cheeks.. “I asked you to give me a break Karson and you couldn’t even do that.” I say softly controlling myself while looking into his eyes. I see Ryder out of the corner of my eye moving his hand towards me for comfort but I just shake my head. “The show is over.. Respect my wishes.” I say still looking Karson right in the eyes before wiping my face and running away not looking at anyone else. I go straight to my room slamming my door shut and lock it.

KARSONS POV

I really fu.cked up.. After I came clean in our conversation I quickly regretted it.. I didn’t know she would take it like that I actually thought the opposite. That she would confess she loves me too and we could be chosen mates.. I am so stupid.. I was so enraged I ended up destroying the garden and my office.. I asked some omegas to clean it up. I just had to make things right with her. She was so hurt. The thought of her being hurt because of me literally killed me. I look for her everywhere and ask everyone but no one saw her so we gathered outside and I was about to send my warriors out looking for her when she runs out of the woods soaking wet with Ryder. It made me so mad. I was jealous. I was childish. I should have never spoken to her like that. Her yelling back at me in front of everyone is more than expected but her tears..

That was something she didn’t like anyone to see.. That she can be vulnerable in front of others. She liked being known as strong and I fu.cked up so bad. She walked away and I watched her go into the pack house. No one said anything at first until Ryder jumped on top of me punching my face and I just took it. I deserved it. Everyone starts running towards us. Hayes, Hazel’s father pulled him off me and my father grabbed me up from the ground and not even a second later starts walking away. My father turns his head and growls. “You two! My office now!” He uses his Alpha command and walks off into the pack house I swear I can see steam out of his ears. Hayes following him and Ryder too.

I groan loudly using my hand to wipe blood off my mouth. Ana, Hazel’s mother just shakes her head and my mother walks over towards me. “Now my sweet boy I don’t know what happened but we love that girl and if you hurt her in anyway your father will punish you for it. I love you son but it is time to grow up. You are destined for greatness.. This isn’t it.” She says giving my cheek a kiss and she turns to walk inside with Ana. The rest of us start doing the same.

Walking into dads office was tense to say the least.. Hayes speaks first and I’m actually surprised. “Boys I.. Well to start us four. Meaning Alpha Erik, Luna Tahlula, my wife Ana and myself are aware of this and this stays confidential. Do not repeat it to anyone outside this room especially Hazel.. As you know we have no other children and the reason that being is because something happened to my wife when she was a young girl a horrible crime that left her not able to reproduce.. One night out on our anniversary we were running kind of close to the border of Pearl when we heard a baby cry. My wife thought she was losing her mind but then I heard it too and it sounded close to us. We followed the cries and started to smell blood. We panicked. We thought the baby was hurt but turns out she was completely fine and it was her basket that was covered in blood. Rogues and someone else. She stayed unharmed. This beautiful little baby girl in a white gown with a white fur blanket to keep her warm. Her big beautiful eyes staring back at us looked like pools of pure honey. Nothing else so we assumed she came from someone in the Pearl pack and we were going to ask around but there was so much blood on her basket and we knew she must’ve been in harms way..

My wife and I instantly brought her home. Erik and Tahlula welcomed her right in and Erik asked for her name to put into the packs mind link for our amazing news. We chose Hazel. After my grandmother. Before we knew it she started blossoming before our eyes. She has always been so strong. Both inside and out..” He says then looks at my dad who just gives him a smile. “In fact when she was eight years old she did something that really shocked us four.. The four of us have come to the conclusion that she had to have been from the Diamond pack. They are powerful in their own ways since a relative to the Moon Goddess reside there. All white Lycans. We have no idea how or why she ended up in our territory by Pearl but we must protect her. We need to know what upset her. She might retaliate not knowing her strength. White wolves tend to develop powers. Goddess only knows what her wolf Angel is capable of. No matter what she is my daughter and I will always be on her side.” He says protectively and I’m speechless.. It explains so much. She has a powerful wolf. She could have killed me if I pushed her enough. I definitely did a number on her.. I mean yeah me being an Alpha makes me strong but if she’s a white wolf who came from Diamond then she’s gaining her Lycan on her eighteenth birthday. As if what our history books are correct. “Why are you telling us all of this?” Ryder speaks up. “Because someone may be out there preparing to take her once gaining her ability so she needs her mate.. With her true mate she will be much stronger..” My father says and we both nod. “Now tell us son.. What happened.” My father uses his Alpha command on me and I have no choice then to spill everything so I told the three of them what happened and Ryder kept freaking out.. A few times Hayes had to step in.. I get it he probably is her mate which I have always hated hearing it growing up but he’s my best friend first and out of respect for the two of them I should have waited for my birthday but I couldn’t stop thinking about it.. I really thought it was going to go in my favor knowing she’s always had a crush on me but now I could lose them both.. I finally finished telling them what happened and Hazel’s father rubs his face a few times. “Boy, that wasn’t very smart. I know you are beating yourself up over it and yes I am angry but I understand. You and Ryder have been so close to her all her life. She loves you both with her whole heart but that doesn’t mean your both her mate. I have been telling Ryder he could potentially be hers since he was a kid because I had a dream the night Hazel turned. The Moon Goddess visited me. She is as beautiful and delicate as they say.

We put pieces together and assumed it was him.” He finishes and I am feeling bummed. I nod my head and give my deepest apologies to him and my father. I nod to Ryd. I decide to get up and head to my room. “Son. Give her some space for now. Everything will fall into place. Your mate is out there and you will forget how you feel now. Trust me I know.” He says and I give him a confused face. “Story for another time kid.” He says and I leave to go to my room.
