(April’s POV) I woke before anyone else, so I got dressed and went down to make coffee, then took it out to sit on the steps. The sun wasn’t up yet, but the sky was beginning to show signs of light. The fog was so thick I couldn’t even see past my out-stretched hand. I felt like I could call out my claws and carve donuts from the thick mist. I guess my Dad was having similar thoughts because when he stepped up next to me, he took a sip of his coffee and said, “Rut-Roh, Raggy.” I smiled at the comment. Other than those words, we just stood in silence and enjoyed our morning brews together. When we were done, we put our mugs in the sink and left out the back, heading towards where the chase took place that day. Thankfully, with the sun beginning to rise, the fog was beginning to clear,
