(Alex’s POV)
I woke up with a major k*nk in my neck. When I realized I was still on the sofa in the commons area, I understood why.
It took me all of two seconds to also realize April was nowhere to be found. “Hey guys, has anyone seen April?” I asked our gang through mind-link, and they all answered with variants of “No, why?”
“Because I just woke up all alone in commons and when I fell asleep she was right next to me. So no one walked her back to Amaris castle?” I asked and again got a whole-lot of “No”. I looked at my phone and noticed how early it was, and figured she was asleep. So I reluctantly decided to let her sleep a while more.
Instead, I headed up to our suite for a hot shower hoping to relax my achy muscles before training. I figure after training is over I’ll mind-link
