Come on, Max. Get real. There’s no way April would go through any sort of challenges or tests without telling us. I argued, unable to believe she would go off on her own and do something so reckless. She promised me we’d do any sort of challenge or test together. And we were certain that’s what it would take to get Raine back.
“Zander? Winter couldn’t have found me, no one could.” She said as she slowly began to sit up. “Here, Cuz. Sip this. It’ll help.” Jake said, giving her a glass of cold Sprite to sip on.
“Thanks, Jake.” She said, giving him a soft smile before adding, “I feel like I was just run down by a f*ckin freight train.” Before she finished her sentence, Winter was squatting down in front of her, looking deeply into her eyes.
“Where did you go, Sis?”
