(Tyler’s POV)
We looked all over for her but couldn’t find her anywhere. I decided to go a little deeper into the forest then backtrack to recheck everywhere I’d already been. I won’t say it didn’t surprise me to find her out in the open in a place I’d already checked multiple times. But I was surprised to find her in a semi-conscious state.
She was sort of in-and-out of it all the way home. I was really worried about her. Especially because I couldn’t sense Raine anymore. I’m hoping she’s just hiding Raine for some reason, but I’m not holding my breath on that either.
Something was off. Something was way off. And it wasn’t just Raine, either. Her body felt lighter, her complexion was off, even her scent was different. “It’s okay, Princess. Everything will be okay. I’ve got you.”
