(Alex’s POV)
I was shocked when they told me about Parker and Nír. Pleasantly so, but still. If ever there was an ‘odd couple’ they’d surely fit that bill.
Anyway, after training we pulled Doug and Martin aside. I’d had the chance to observe the two of them in training with our junior warriors so I felt like I had a decent idea on their skill level. I was a little surprised that Doug was as good as he was. Martin wasn’t bad, but he had a lot of room for improvement. But Doug? He had the ability to catch on quickly so teaching him new things didn’t take as long.
