I just left the hospital. April, Alex, and I had gone to see Patty, Clarease’s Mother. I told the kids I’d do the notification but they insisted on being there as well. Patty seemed to handle it alright, I’m not sure I’d have been so calm if I were in her shoes.
Poor woman is recovering from a severe beating. I’d no idea that had even happened. Baxter seemed like a nice enough guy. The few times I’d met him he was very polite and respectful. You’d never have taken him for the kind to do something so heinous.
