“What the h*ll do you mean? I would never say anything like that!” I defended, raising my voice indignantly. I’ve said and done a lot of things I regret over these past five years. And I’m sure there are plenty more things I don’t remember, too. But I’m d*mn sure I never said that to April earlier.
“I want to believe you, Alex. I really do. But I also know Tyler wasn’t lying when he told me what happened either. So you tell me how I’m supposed to reconcile these two truths?” My Dad said with an annoyed tone.
He hadn’t stopped pacing since he came in. He looked extremely stressed, and I had a feeling there was more to this than he's already said. “I don’t know, Dad. But I swear to the Goddess I never said any such thing. Ask Max if you don’t believe me.”
