Chapter 9
Clement felt as if his heart was about to burst out of his chest in utter terror when the bodyguards rushed a barely coherent Kyle into the lobby of the living quarters within the embassy. He couldn’t think or speak. All he noticed was the blood and multiple bruises all over Kyle’s body. The next few moments were chaotic at best. He recalled yelling at everybody around him to get medical assistance pronto. He didn’t even bother to question why the bodyguards hadn’t driven Kyle to the hospital. He was more concerned about Kyle’s well-being at the moment. The interrogation could be done at a later time.
