You are fired

MARIE He was unlike anyone I had ever seen before, like he had been cut straight out of a model magazine and his slightly disheveled look added to his charm. His lips were parted slightly and the empty bottle in front of him made me believe he was also having a bad day, just like I was. As if he could sense me staring at him, he suddenly turned towards me and our eyes locked. My breath got caught in my throat and I had no clue how I was supposed to react other than rapidly turning away from him. My face felt so hot and I was fighting the urge to not glance back at him. “You should try this.” He slid a glass of whatever he was drinking towards me and even though I knew I should have turned down the offer, I didn’t, instead, I gulped down whatever it was regardless of the fact that I was already feeling dizzy. “Here alone?” He asked with a cool voice and I nodded, unable to meet his gaze. “I’ll take anything stronger too.” I said to the bartender. “Are you sure about that?” He rose from his seat, his height towering above mine, “a drink like that shouldn’t be taken by a woman all by herself in that kind of dress.” His eyes swept over my body. The alcohol had mixed with his scent and it was the most sexy and intense thing to me. “And what’s wrong with my dress?” I slurred, unable to stop the tingling sensation building up inside of me due to how close his body was to mine. There was this look in his eyes as he stared down at me that made his eyes sparkle. It was as if the entire club was no longer visible to him and I was the only person in there. “Wanna ditch the party?” He suddenly spoke up and the sound of his voice snapped me out of my trance but didn’t help matters because his baritone sent a tremor down my spine in a manner I had never experienced before. Was I supposed to feel that way about a total stranger? “Excuse me?” “Do you want to ditch the party?” He asked again and I glanced back at Bella before I returned my gaze to him. Why was he asking me that? “I have a room reserved and if you don’t mind sharing a bottle of something strong with me, then you’re welcome to join me.” He explained further as he grabbed the bottle the bartender just brought over to him and began to walk away from the bar and towards the elevator. The VIP lounge was upstairs so it made sense that he was going in that direction but why would he invite a total stranger to come with him? I shouldn’t even be considering this, Bella and my friends were down here so it would be unwise for me to leave the party with a stranger. I just stood there, watching him as he got into the elevator, his eyes fixed on me and just as the doors began to slide shut, something inside of me pushed me to take a step forward. What was I doing? I suddenly broke into a run and rushed into the elevator just before it slid shut. As soon as I was inside, it dawned on me what I had just done but seeing him so close to me, his muscles flexing underneath his rolled up sleeves and the way his tongue slid over his lower lip before he bit down on it gently. This was a bad ide. A really bad one. My thoughts got cut off when he suddenly spun me around and his grey eyes came face to face with mine as his lips pressed against mine and he easily lifted me up in his arms. My legs immediately wrapped around his waist and even though every single alarm bell was going off in my head and warning me to push him off, I pulled him closer to me. “f**k,” he gasped, his lips still so close to mine that I could still taste him, “if you don’t want to do this you should get off right now or else…” “Or else what?” My chest heaved heavily while my eyes remained glued to his perfect lips and my wetness throbbed like never before. “I won’t stop…” he whispered and a moan slipped from me just as his lips claimed mine again. Everything about him was intoxicating, from the feel of his arms around me to the scent of his body. The bottle slid from his grip and crashed to the ground. That still wasn’t enough to seperate us, he was holding on so tightly as his hands found its way across my entire body. A sensational feeling exploded inside of me and a moan slipped from within me as I gave in to a feeling I had not felt in so long. It had been so long since there was this rush of adrenaline, since I felt wanted and the passion was felt. Malcolm had not touched me like that in years. He alway made it feel like the s*x was a chore, like he was forced to do it and it all made sense now, the reason he was acting that way was because he found someone else. The elevator made a ding sound and the way and manner he sauntered over to the door of the room he reserved with me in his arms and his lips still pressed against mine, remains a mystery. It all happened way too fast, we were both undressed within the blink of an eye and the whole world seemed to fade away as he rammed into me over and over again. His grip on my hair was firm and he knew just how to use his tongue to please me. “Don’t stop.” “Don’t stop!” I cried out over and over again in intense pleasure. I couldn’t recognize my own voice from the sounds I was making and by the time he was done, I was a heaving mess and had no idea when I dozed off. The sound of the doorbell ringing was what woke me up. I groaned out loud as I tried to sit up but I felt a sharp pain in my head that felt like my head was about to split into two, I held onto my forehead and screamed out loud in pain but the doorbell wouldn’t stop ringing and that sound was causing a serious throbbing in my head. I winced in pain as I stumbled out of bed and staggered towards the door. It wasn’t until I pulled the door open and saw the unfamiliar face with a shocked expression staring back at me before I realized I was not in my room. “Room service.” The woman in front of me said with a confused and awkward look on her face. I followed her gaze and glanced down at my own body, my eyes widened in shock and I let out a scream as I slammed the door shut. I was standing butt naked in front of the door. Where was I? I glanced around the room in panic but nothing rang in my head, that was when it hit me that the woman at the door had said, room service. I was at a hotel. A gasp slipped from me and the memories from last night hit me with such force that it knocked out the air in my lungs. Malcolm and his lover, the party, the stranger, the kiss in the elevator and the.. the.. “Oh my God! I f****d a stranger!” I screamed in horror as my chest began to heave and my eyes scanned the length of the room but there was no one else in the room other than me. I quickly got dressed and located my phone underneath my underwear. I was just about to call Bella when I saw all the missed calls from last night and my heart skipped a beat when a missed alarm popped up on my screen. “First day of work!” It read. “Oh My God! Oh My God! Oh My God!” I screamed even harder when I saw the time and realized I was already so late for my first day of work. There were no words to describe how I was losing it, no words to describe how I rushed out of the room and took the elevator downstairs. The club was empty except for the cleaners so I hurried past them and made my way outside. I hailed a taxi and snuck back into my room through the window to get dressed and grab whatever I could before I headed to work. Inside the taxi, my mind was filled with all kinds of thoughts. Was everything that happened last night real? Was Malcom really cheating on me? Did I really f**k a stranger? And was I really three hours late for my first day at work? It all felt unrealistic but anytime I glanced out the window and at my phone, the fact that it was all true hit me right in the face. Suddenly my phone began to ring and I was so relieved to see that it was Bella, I answered immediately, “Where the f**k are you Marie?! You disappeared last night and you weren’t answering my calls or texts, what the hell happened? The bartender said you left with a man, I searched the entire bar for you but you were not there, I was so worried.” Bella’s voice rang out from the other end of the call and I hissed in pain when the banging in my head intensified. I should have listened to Bella and stayed away from the alcohol, I whined inwardly. “I am so sorry Bella but it’s a long story and I’ll catch you up on everything when I am back from work. I have to go now.” I ended the call just as we pulled up in front of Richardson corps, my new workplace. My heart was racing beyond control as I rushed into the building and made my way into the elevator to head up to the top floor just like I had been instructed in the email I had received. The ride was filled with nothing but fear and panic. I was losing my mind and had no idea what I was going to say when my boss asked why I was late. As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, I was thrown into another world entirely. The decor was different and the atmosphere was much more tense than the ground floor. “You’re late.” A harsh tone came from beside me and I almost jumped when I noticed an older man glaring at me from my left hand side. “I am so sorry, my name is Marie Collin’s and I am reporting for the post of…” “I know who you are, what I don’t know is why you would show up late on your first day of the job,” he hissed as he waved at me to follow him and I did just that. He led me to the last office at the end of the hallway and he pushed open the large doors to reveal a very breathtaking office, with a perfect view of the city below. “Mr Stanley, she is here.” The older man said as he walked over to a large mahogany desk with a beautifully carved glass sign on it with a name written boldly on it, “Sebastian Stanley, CEO of Richardson Corps.” The chair spun around to reveal a young man clothed in a perfectly tailored suit and just as he rose to his feet, our eyes locked and my eyes widened in shock. I gasped and took a step back, disbelief written all over my face. “What was he doing here?!” I muttered under my breath. “She came first in the training and ranked first in every exam that was organized, she will be perfect for the job.” The older man added with his head bowed slightly as he dropped a document on his desk, oblivious to how the stranger and I were staring at each other. He was just as shocked as I was, I could tell from the look in his eyes and how his entire body tensed up. The older man excused himself and I was all alone with the stranger from last night. I had no idea what to say or where to start? Was he really Sebastian Stanley? The man I would be working for? How was I ever supposed to get past what had happened last night. I was fumbling around and it didn’t help matters that I knew he was staring right at me. “I…uhm…” I paused and cleared my throat noisily to overshadow the fact that my voice was trembling and I had no clue what I was supposed to say. Still, I needed to be a professional. I had worked my ass off for this job and I deserved to be there, I said to myself as I took a deep breath and forced myself to look up at him. “My name is Marie Collin’s and this is my…” “There is no need for that,” He cut me off sharply, his tone a whole lot harsher than I remembered, “You are fired.”
