Sophia stood frozen, her heart pounding in her chest. The Rogue King’s red eyes glowed in the darkness, a sinister smile playing on his lips. Marcus and Lucian, both in their wolf forms, snarled at the intruder, their bodies tense and ready to attack.
The Rogue King chuckled, his voice smooth and menacing. “Ah, the True Luna. I’ve been searching for you.”
Sophia took a step back, her mind racing. She had just begun to understand her powers, and now this new threat loomed before her.
Marcus growled, stepping protectively in front of Sophia. “You’re not taking her.”
Lucian positioned himself on the other side, his eyes never leaving the Rogue King. “She’s under our protection.”
The Rogue King raised his hands mockingly. “Protection? From me? I only wish to talk.”
