Since it was rude to interupt someone, Reina wanted to do so, while Massai was still talking, since she had many questions, because he said that previous owner had passed away centuries ago, but her aunt...she's still alive, since she sended her the letter and her lawyer called her to inform her about the Gauthier Manor being given to her.
After hesitating for a moment, she interupted Massai. He did the same before, so why can't she do that?
"Excuse me, sir, but my aunt Saira is alive and she's the last owner before me, so I don't understand why you're saying that previous owner of Gauthier Manor had gone away to rest in peace centuries ago?"
Once Reina said that, Massai looked at her like she's crazy, which she also found strange, because why he doesn't know her aunt Saira?
"...who's Saira? Our last owner was alive centuries ago and her name is..."
It seemed that Massai truly wanted to say the real name of previous owner of Gauthier Manor, but like some kind of spell stopped him from telling the truth and instead he simply claimed that information which Reina had already about the Gauthier Manor's owner is complete truth.
"I'm should apologize miss, but I guess you're right, her name is Saira and she just recently went away on vacation, while our property now lays in your hands. I guess I'm too old, that my memory is already failing me, so don't mind the words I said earlier, I was simply confused myself."
Reina wanted to stop Massai from talking non-sense, when he clearly wasn't telling what he wanted to tell her, but then many servants came, just to serve Reina her breakfast.
And with that, she wasn't able to continue her conversation with Massai, since he left the room after wishing her to have good meal.
---
Soon Reina finished breakfast, while servants stood behind her, which was uneasy for her, but what can she do if that's their job?
Between all these servants, she noticed Everett, who sometimes looked at Reina with disgusted look, even if they both were humans at the Gauthier Manor between bunch of mystical creatures, that looked terrifying, but acted normal.
Everett's attitude really made Reina unwelcome at the Manor, because she was the only one, that acted on how she feels, instead of caring for the new master's feelings.
Even when it seemed like there's tension between her and Everett, Reina chose to focus on the most important task at hand, than meaningless atempts to befriend someone who's clearly not interested in something like friendship, that's why Reina headed to the same place where she found her aunt Saira's office, so she could make sure, that she wasn't just imagining that there's an office.
Once she aproached the same place, where she found aunt Saira's office, it simply was gone...no where to be found, which made Reina furious about the whole situation she's in now.
"Are you serious right now??? Why is this constantly happening to me? It was enough already that my phone doesn't work here, everyone is strange and now I feel like I'm just simply going crazy."
For a moment, Reina had a small breakdown, since she didn't know what to do, if everything and everyone in here makes her guess her insanity.
"What a beauty...why are you so sad and alone?"
Someone whispered in low voice at the end of the hallway, which made Reina stop her distress and look into the darkness of a hallway, so she could see who's there.
As she looked in the darkness, all she could see was just an empty space, so she assumed that it was just her mind playing games with her...until..someone grabbed her by her waist right behind her.
"Are you scared? Don't worry, you're not in any danger...yet"
The voice taunted Reina, while she struggled to free herself from the grip of the unknown person that grabbed her.
Soon enough, she felt sharp pain in her neck, so she tried to scream, but before she could, her mouth got covered by the stranger's hand and thanks to the pain, she couldn't fight anymore, because it made her dizzy.
---
After a while, Reina found herself passed out on the floor in a hallway, but it seemed different, because it was more darker and lacked the wall paintings, that Gauthier Manor's hallways had.
Reina slowly stood up, while leaning onto the wall, so that she doesn't fall back down on the ground.
Every bit of her hurt like she had been run over by a truck, but she wasn't dead, even if it seemed so for some moment.
"What a sweet human..."
Those words where the last thing she could remember from the person that grabbed her, before she passed out from sharp pain in her neck, which made her check her neck, but nothing was there...just a regular neck like it should usually be.
When she looked at her hand with which she touched her neck, she saw a few drops of blood...meaning that her neck had bleed, but there where no obvious wounds on it.
Despite not understanding the situation, Reina decided to explore these dark hallways, that she couldn't really associate with the hallways of the Gauthier Manor.
These hallways were dark and gloomy, without any sign of life. There mostly where no doors, so it probably ment that there's just few rooms somwhere or there is no rooms at all.
Everything seemed quiet. Only sound was Reina's heavy footsteps, since she still felt unwell after being suddenly attacked by someone or something, which made her steps a tad bit heavier.
She walked and walked, but this hallway seemed to never end, just got longer and darker.
Yet again she felt sharp pain in her neck, which made her lose her balance and fall down on the ground, where she then laid for a long time, hoping that the pain will eventually go away.
All her strenght was slowly draining away, making her lose her balance, which she supported by leaning against the wall, but unfortunatly it didn't help at all, so soon Reina was found half dead on the floor of dark hallways, that lead her nowhere.
"Oh, poor child, please don't cry, I'm always there for you."
Gentle voice said to Reina, while she couldn't move or speak..was it her angel, that will lead her to the other side of the world? Is she really dead? So many regrets ran trought Reina's mind, which was displayed in tears, that slowly ran across her cold cheeks.
-----------
Hearing this gentle voice, Reina found herself in the bed, where she slept, while she was at the Gauthier Manor, but she couldn't move or even open her eyes.
All Reina could do, was hear, so she listened to the gentle voice as she made out that all the words that were said, were a song, a lullaby that mothers often sing to their children.
"In the deep forest, where moon children play, there's mansion, that will bring out all the wonders of world"
"But be careful, my midnight child, from the darkness that this world created"
"Dear midnight child, my moon child, I wish luck upon you, so you could only see wonders of good world
That's why your mind shall be pure"
"With your pure soul and pure heart, you shall be my doe, that seeks the light and finds the way to free this world from the darkness"
"Your heart shall guid you trought the secrets of mansion in forest, full of moon children, so use it wisely and follow your heart"
"Dear midnight child, my moon child, I wish luck upon you, so you could only see wonders of good world
That's why your mind shall be pure"
"My dear doe, in the place of moon symbol, thou shall find a guide to your shield, who seeks fairness in the mess of this world"
"This shield shall be respected, so that you, my little doe, could be safe at all times"
"I beg the Lord to protect you, my dearest, because I know we won't be together forever"
"May my prayers be heard, so I could protect you forever in your dreams, even when death takes me with it"
"Dear midnight child, my moon child, I wish luck upon you, so you could only see wonders of good world"
"That's why your mind shall be pure"
"Forever pure and unharmed"
Once the lullaby ended, Reina was deep in the realm of dreams, even though she was on a verge of death.
