This was it. The Gauthier Manor. Her uber driver had taken her to this Manor without any proper explanation, almost like it was planned before hand.
All atmosphere around the Manor seemed mysterious and somewhat creepy, especially all the amount of red roses, that bloomed all around the Gauthier Manor, even onto the manor itself.
"It sure must be a huge pain to tend to all of these roses."
Reina murmured to herself as she looked at the Manor trough the car window, clearly getting distracted from earlier panic about getting murdered by a stranger.
"My job is done here." Those words made Reina turn her attention to the uber driver, just to see him disappear into nowhere.
"What the heck is going on? Am I going insane?"
She said as she looked in the direction where the uber driver was sitting just moments ago, before he disappeared.
Slowly, Reina got out of the car, while trying to understand what is going on and if she maybe needed a medical help or was everything just a dream?
Once Reina got out, she looked around the properties of Manor, the garden was full of red roses and nothing more, so she guessed that her far-related aunt Saira really liked red roses.
Another thing she noticed was that there seemed to be no life at all, not even birds chirping could be heard or bees and butterflys seen, almost like everything is dead, except for red roses, that seemed perfectly fine without any kind of bugs spreading their pollen around, so that they could smell nicely.
Suddenly, in this dead silence of the Gauthier Manor, she heard something or someone in the bushes of roses, so she cautiosly aproached it to see what gave off that noise.
When she aproached that bush of roses that noise where coming from, she saw a girl tending to roses.
This girl looked really strange, since she had really white and long hair, decorated with pink butterfly's wings and acording to the way this girl dressed, ot seemed like she was a maid at this Manor.
"Sorry to bother you, but can I know who are you?"
Reina asked, thought it seemed like a stupid question, because it was already clear that this girl was a maid, but she still needed to know who she was.
"I'm a maid, silly. If you want to know my name, then it's Eigra. Nice to meet you!"
Eigra answered, without turning around to look at Reina, because she was busy with cleaning roses from dust, while Reina decided to introduce herself too, since Eigra already did so.
"I see, nice to meet you too, Eigra, I'm Reina."
After a while, Eigra stood up and looked at Reina with her bright, pink eyes and smiled at her, before starting to talk alot, not allowing Reina to intervene.
"Reina, huh? You're the next owner of Gauthier Manor! I should admit you're quite pretty!"
Eigra seemed really friendly, which made both girls to talk for hours, not noticing how time flew by.
As the time flew by with Eigra as a company in this gloomy place, Reina noticed that it was getting quite late, which made the Gauthier Manor look more creepier than before.
"Shall we go inside? I'm sure mister Massai is already waiting for you, lady Reina."
Eigra eagerly said, almost like she didn't noticed or just ignored how this Manor looked like it would belong in horror movie and she looked like she lived in her own fantasy, so Reina decided to ask few questions about Eigra's strange demeanor.
"I guess so, but, Eigra, don't you think this Manor is kind of gloomy and somewhat creepy? I would never agree to work in such environment myself, so why would you work here as a maid?"
At these questions, Eigra simply smiled at her and showed the way inside the Gauthier Manor.
"Oh, if you think this place is scary, then you're in a wild ride, because there's a lot of workers here, that seem kind of strange and scary, but don’t worry, no one harms each other ever since Kendra appeared!"
Everything she said seemed really strange to Reina, because what exactly was Eigra talking about? She didn't believed in supernatural, so she tought that Eigra maybe was mentally ill and lived in her own imagination, since there barely was a life outside the Manor, so there shouldn't be anyone inside the Manor, right?
"Uhh...let me ask you this then. First of all, who is that Masei or Mass person? And who is Kendra? Is that Manor filled with men?"
Since those names seemed strange to Reina, she mispelled Massai's name and assumed, that Kendra was a man, that's why Eigra quickly decided to correct her.
"It's Massai, lady Reina, and he is a butler. Also, lady Kendra, is a woman and she's quite distant to almost everyone. The answer to your last question is no, there are some men, but not that much till you hire some of them."
Thanks to Eigra's explanation, Reina had a little bit more understanding about this Gauthier Manor, which she considered as an abandoned place with no life when she saw it.
---
Soon they both entered the Gauthier Manor and first thing she saw was mesmerizing, vintage paintings on the walls of Manor, which she had mostly seen only in books and internet.
"Welcome out new owner of Gauthier Manor!"
All these voices said in unison, scaring Reina, who was distracted by paintings on the wall.
When Reina looked at the people that welcomed her to the Gauthier Manor, she saw Massai, the butler, but he was a...goblin? What the heck is going on in here?
"What the hell? Am I seriously dreaming?"
Reina said as she looked around all the Manor mystical creatures that stood before her, making her feel like she's in danger, before running off to the exit from the Manor, just to acidentally running into one of the workers and collapsing on the ground from the impact of this accident.
After that accident happened, they, the workers, decided to get the new Gauthier Manor owner to the master bedroom, so she could get a rest from this long day of unexpected events.
Now the Manor's workers needed to come up with an explanation about their appearance, since most of them where mystical creatures, which regular humans found hard to understand and believe in.
As the night went on, workers of the Gauthier Manor where busy thinking and coming up with an explanation to Reina, while Reina herself, was in deep sleep already, since she collapsed earlier and got put to bed by Massai, because he felt guilty for scaring his new master with his appearance, which he couldn't control. He just was born that way, he was a goblin, but with clear mind and no evil intentions.
Everything seemed peacfull, moon was shining trought the windows of Gauthier Manor, enlighting all the vintage furniture, that would probably cost millions dollars or even more. The most expensive room seemed to be master bedroom, where Reina was supposed to live from now on, even if she doesn't want to, no one will let her leave.
---
Reina was in deep sleep, the clock struck two in the morning and that's where strange things started to happen. She heard a cries of a woman, that echoed trought the hallways, but at this hour, everyone seemed to be already asleep.
She slowly woke up and looked around the room, where she was, almost getting lost in her toughts, when she noticed all the luxury around her, but, a suddent scream in the hallway woke her up fully and made her snap out of her toughts quickly.
Without thinking, Reina rushed out of the master bedroom to look who's in danger, but...she didn't realized that she might be the one in danger, because the scene before her, made her almost trow up.
She saw a beheaded woman, in really ancient clothing and all the hallway was full of blood, but before Reina could scream for help herself, the same beheaded woman grabbed her hands and held Reina close to her cold body.
"Please! Don't let my children get hurt! Nukpana has come here! He wants to kill them all and Kendra, she is my precious, fragile girl, please, help her!"
Woman cried out to Reina, still being able to communicate, despite being beaheded, which leaves Reina more terrified of what's to come at this cursed Manor, where nothing is normal.
After woman let's go of Reina's hands, she imideatly ran away trought the long and dark hallways, just to get out of the Gauthier Manor, but every door was locked and even windows weren't that easy to get open, so Reina sat down on the ground, crying out of fear, hoping that she will soon get out of this nightmare.
One thing Reina never realized, was that the beheaded woman was someone from the past, a ghost, so everything seemed realistic only to her, even if it wasn't and she was panicking over a simple nightmare, that haunted her dreams or maybe it was something more, than just a nightmare?
