( TESSA'S POV )
The day had continually been hazardous for me but with this unexpected twist, I didn't know what to express anymore.
I looked on at the lifeless body of Nathan. The guards were still yet to confirm anything regarding him but as things stood, something had to be done. Nathan had surely ran into trouble whether he was dead or alive.
The tall guard was the first to get there. As I ran faster, I saw him raise Nathan to check his status.
"He is alive," the tall guard shouted.
My heart leapt for joy instantly. It would have been too sad to imagine if I had lost Nathan to a case that had to do with me. This thing was going longer than I had thought.
"That's good!" The short guard replied. "He is surely a criminal. Our trap got him."
