Tate Tate set the pair of binoculars he had been holding up to his eyes for the last hour or more down next to him on a stool someone had provided for him a while back. Pulling his phone out of his back pocket, he glanced at the time, feeling uneasy. He should have heard from Kelly already. The walk home should have only taken half an hour at most and it had now been almost two hours. At first, he had thought that maybe she had gotten caught up in taking care of Griffin and getting him settled for the night, but that should have only taken an extra hour and a half, if not a little more, depending on how fussy he was.
