The Challenge

Finally it's an off day. The whole week so hectic I just want to curl up in my bed and sleep. My phone started ringing. It's Alex. Why can't he leave me alone. It's Sunday.

"Come to the office right now" What Why No.

"It's Sunday" I whined.

"Come right now it's your job" Who does he think it is. I want to spit in his drink.

Leave me alone man. Sulking i changed into my work clothes. i decided to go make-up free because i am not in the mood to get dressed up on a Sunday.

"What do you need" I asked Alex

"The presentation you made. Someone lost it so you have to make it all over again" How is that my fault? I don't want to but i have to do this. I think this is God's way of punishing me because I didn't stop to feed the stray cat yesterday.

"You can bring your laptop here we will work together so the project is done quickly"

After 10 minutes he questioned.

"Are you really dating someone"

"Why are you asking" i replied keeping my eyes on the laptop screen.

"Do i know him?"

"Maybe"

"How did you guys meet"

"Alex i am not going to tell you anything so quit asking"

"I'm your boss you are answerable to me"

"I fail to understand how my personal life is any of a concern to you and here the work is done so if you please excuse me I'm going because i have a date with my boyfriend" Great now i have a imaginary boyfriend.

I got a notification that my office is holding a party on Tuesday and everyone must bring a plus one with them.

"You should bring your boyfriend to this party" Alex casually said.

"I don't think I'm Coming"

"Scared to show your imaginary boyfriend" He challenged me.

"He is very real and i will bring him to the party with me" I said and stomped out of his office.

Crap my lie backfired what am i going to do. I don't have any boyfriend. Hell I don't even have friends. How am i going to find a boyfriend overnight.

Suddenly someone said "Boo" and it scared the crap out of me. I looked to see it was Ben who was laughing uncontrollably.

"Why are you lost i knocked twice but you didn't reply"

"No I'm ok i was thinking about something and what are you doing here it's Sunday"

"I forgot something in the office and have you heard about the party "

"Yeah i just got a notification"

"Who are you taking as your plus one to the party?"

"I haven't decided" Suddenly an idea came into my mind.

"Do you want to go together?"

"Hell yeah I'm not turning down such an offer" .

Thank God he said yes. Take that Alex. He think I'm incapable of finding love. He is correct but he doesn't need to know that.

I need a dress. I should go to the mall to buy one. Oh my god how expensive these dresses are. Who even buys such expensive dresses. Rich people Duh. They aren't even that pretty. I have to sell myself first to be able to afford even one. I think I'm going to wear my prom dress again.I have got no other choice.I hope it fits me and Alex doesn't recognize it. He was my prom date after all. I can't wait to see the reaction on Alex face when he saw me coming in with Ben. He is going to be shocked. Can't wait.
