Keeping her close

I'm currently going over Alex's schedule. Although i recited his schedule for the whole week already but he is still making me do it. I think he got a fetish for it.

"How was your night"

"Not that it's any of your business but i had a very nice dinner i mean very good time"

"So you had dinner" He said smirking.

"Did i say that" His face is proof i did.

"So you had dinner alone"

"Bold of you do you assume i don't have anyone"

"Do you" He said angrily. Why is he angry?

"What"

"Had dinner with someone"

"I prefer not to answer that question"

I am in my cabin answering the emails when i heard a knock on my door . I look up to see it was Ben. This brought a smile to my face.

"From your smile I'm assuming you are not planning on ghosting me and enjoyed my company"

"No i am not" I said laughing.

I heard a ping on my computer that means Alex is calling me.

"Sorry Ben but work's calling" God help me to deal with this demon. I'm very close to throwing my clipboard on his head.

"Amara come with me"

"Where"

"You are my personal assistant so don't ask questions and do your job" Okay then. He doesn't even have the decency to tell me where we are going. He seems to forget I'm his assistant and not slave. Looks like someone got their panties in a twist.

He has brought me to a construction site. I wonder why? What do i know about construction. I only know one thing and that is cement is used.

"My construction company has gotten the project to build this" He said easing my confusion. I have always known Alex is rich but didn't know he is Richy rich. He owns a publishing house along with a construction company.

He gave me a tour of the place. He still hasn't told me why am i here? Now we are going back to the publishing house. He brought me here for nothing.

"Do you want to go have lunch?" He asked looking at me.

"Yeah sure"

He brought me to a restaurant on the beach. We are seated and i look at the menu. There is nothing else except seafood. I love seafood. Wait I looked at him questionably.

"What" He said

"You are allergic to seafood and we are sitting in a seafood restaurant"

"I know the chef he will make chicken for me"

"Ok i will have that too"

"No you order seafood i know how much you love it" He still remembers. Amara don't melt don't melt he is still a douchebag.

We ate in total silence. As it is past office hours he asked.

"Do you want me to drop you off home?"

"No just drop me off at the subway I don't want to bother you anymore"

"I can drop you home just give me the address it's late" Why is he suddenly being so generous?

"I go home alone everyday don't worry" He drop me off the subway.

I still don't understand why did he take me to the construction site. He knows i don't know s**t about this industry but he made me stay there with him. I am unable to understand him.

I got back to see more voicemails from my mother. What can't this woman just take a hint and leave me alone? Why is she suddenly trying to build a relationship which she knows isn't just possible. From where did she even get my number in the first place.
