1258 Words
The shattering sound of the vase was the first thing that the servants heard in the morning, “Y-Young master?!” Which made the head servant to rush toward the Black Moonlight manor, where the successor of the clan was residing. Upon opening the door of the young master’s room, the head servant’s eyes widened as his lips gaped. The other servants were surprised when they saw the young master lying on the ground, as if stunned— the head servant remained in his position. It was all because of the thought of: 'Something happened to the young master.. t-this i-incident! W-What should I do? The l-lady will defini— she will kill me!' “Servant Han, snap out of it!” A slap coming from one of the servants was imprinted on the head servant’s left cheek. Upon snapping back on the reality, the head servant immediately approached the young master and helped the other servants to lie him on the bed. They saw how sweating the young master was while gasping for air, “C-Call the physician!” He shouted yet all of them only gazed at the servant whom slapped him. “We already called the physician while you were out of the reality, Headservant Han, he should be on his way.” Her name was Qin Ling, one of the outstanding helpers of the young master’s palace. Not only she finish everything she does on time, she’s also quick witted and learned martial arts from her father, the current head of the security. Until now, it was a mystery why Qin Ling wasn’t the one who was promoted to be the head servant of the young master. It was all because of Liu Li Chun, the aunt of the young master. Despite of headservant Han being unsuitable and weak in the heart, she placed him there to monitor the successor of the clan with her intents unknown. It didn’t took more than five minutes before the physician arrived at the manor, hurrying in sweat as it was the successor involved. As he checked his vitals and searched for signs that can lead to what’s happening, he heaved a breath of relief before facing the servants. “Young master caught a cold,” as if their world shattered— the servants realized that they panicked just because of a mere cold. While the servants were listening to the prescription of the physician, Qin Ling couldn’t help but stare at the young master who’s still now breathing heavily as if burning. 'How will young master catch a cold when he’s at the peak of the strongest in the clan?’ Asked by the lady inside of her mind— confusion was written all over in her face. As the physician wrapped his things up after leaving the prescription to the headservant, Qin Ling approached him yet stopped midway upon seeing the face of the physician. His face was darkened and solemn, indicating the seriousness of the situation. The physician hurried to leave the room, Qin Ling took the paper of prescription from the headservant’s hands. And there she saw different enlisted herbs, “Aren’t these herbs connected to Qi Deprivation?” Asked by one of the servants. [Qi Deprivation is when the circulation of the qi was disrupted or improperly controlled, making the blood vessels burst and damage a cultivator internally. It is deadly and often happen in the middle of cultivations.] “Thank you, headservant Han.” Qin Ling gave the prescription back to the headservant before gazing at the other servants. “What are you all waiting for?” She asked solemnly, all of the servants immediately left the manor after settling the young master in his bed and cleaning the broken vase that they have heard. Kneeling in the middle of the hall, the physician closed his eyes as he composed himself in front of a dominating power. “What is the matter that brought you here, physician.” The woman sitting on the clan leader’s seat, has her hair embraced by the darkness of the night sky— having the luster of a dark gem as the light graced its presence toward her direction. Her deep cerulean eyes glanced at her side, while she’s puckering her luscious lips. With the blue mark on her forehead, she was the embodiment of the goddess— not only in her facial characteristics but also on her physique. “It is a grave situation, clan leader.” The physican uttered under his breath, Liu Li Wei, the clan leader of the Heavenly Destroyer Sect and the mother of the young master stared at the physician for as long as she could upon hearing the statement. She doesn’t know what to say, “We still can’t figure out what’s going on.. the Qi in the young master’s body was beginning to slowly circulate, and I cannot identify if it’s still a Qi.” “A-At this point the young master—” The sound of the clan leader’s palm landing on the arm of her chair, echoed in the hall causing for the physician to tremble in fear. “Silence.” It was softly uttered, but behind her tone was the domineering aura and bloodlust she’s been keeping at bay. “You incompetent fools, you’ve been searching for the right remedy for this in the past decade, yet you’re still not handing the results I’m satisfied with.” The physician, uncontrollably trembling, raised his chin to gaze at the clan leader— yet he immediately shook his head once again upon meeting her deadly gaze. “I-I— w-we w-will do o-our best, y-your worship..” He said, stuttering. “This period of the Liu family ever since the beginning is always deadly as every half of the generation’s offsprings were annihilated by this anonymous event, yet our predecessors survived each of them!” The clan leader’s voice rose to an extent of resonating in the hall, with the domineering aura she’s exuding. “I already told you that the most critical one in this generation is my eldest son, as he is stronger than his peers in this generation. With the studies of the previous physicians from my father— you can’t still progress?!” She shouted in dismay, the physician couldn’t utter a word as he trembling groveled on the ground, silently asking for forgiveness as the fear clogged his throat. “I will give you one more month..” The physician raised his head in surprise. “A-A month?! B-But your g-grace— with ou—” The physician was stunned upon the clan leader’s grim aura. “If you desire to live..” Upon uttering those words, the edge of the clan leader’s seat where she was clenching her hand, was torn loudly that the physician almost thought it was his bones. “Do it properly.” Those threatening words were embedded on the physician’s head, as his gaze slowly lowered. Uttering no word, the clan leader stood up and brushed off the wooden debris of the chair, walking and leaving the physician stunned in the chamber.
