HIJACKED

★★★★(In the night)

A truck was on a very high speed and the driver was chewing away some bethel nut. The truck was carrying a container and in this container were some guards. The guards were stationed in front of some cylinder and in this cylinders were green gaseous substances.

“You know, we need to get paid higher than this”, one of the guards murmured but others could hear him. Some were beginning to think the way he thought.

“Actually, they gave us 70% of our money in advance. I think it’s still appropriate “, another guard stated.

“Appropriate?”, the guard who talked first asked with a scoff. “Its better to know what we are risking our lives for. They won’t talk about it”, he added and exhaled. “And you said that is appropriate “, he tuts.

“Let’s just deliver these products. We are mercenaries, we do anything as long as money is concerned. If they hired this level of guards for it, then this product is of a very high importance “, another guard spoke up.

Walking in to the group was a man who has a scar on his face.

“You are all just collateral damage”, he said and gritted his teeth.

“If not for how important this mission is, I wouldn’t require for any guard as I am worth 100 times than you all”, Hedi sneered and hit his knuckles together. Suddenly, a loud bang was heard and the tires screeched.

“He is here !“, Hedi shouted and he readied his fist facing the container lock. “He would be prepared for my surprise eh eh”, Hedi whispered. But on top of the container was a guy in black. He wore his mask as usual.

“I don’t have enough time. My vision tells me they have an enhanced with them”, he thought as he readied his fist. He smashed his fist right into the container and a very loud bang was heard again.

“Oh, so you coming from the top eh”, Hedi said looking up to where the sound came from while the guards all pointed their rifles to the direction. Another bang was heard and large piece of the top of the container came crashing. The guards seeing this released fire and bullets started raining.

Hedi looked up and could see a figure on top of the container.

“There you are”, Hedi grunted and jumped very high through the hole the guy created on the container.

“This is my Operation, you won’t stop me. You will not get in my way”, Hedi shouted as he rushed attacks towards the guy. The guy dodged the incoming attacks and delivered a kick to Hedi’s abdomen. He was sent skidding on the container and he nearly fell of if he had not held on to the container ‘s edges.

The guy jumped into the hole and landed in front of the guards who opened fire the second he landed. He dodged all the bullets and they ended up shooting each other. He tried to move but discovered, he had been shot in the arm. He fell and starts to bleed from the wound. Hedi landed back into the container through the hole.

“Well, those are advanced guns for people like you. No matter how strong you are”, Hedi said as he reloaded his firearm and shot the guy who was swept away. He landed on the ground then spat some blood. Before he could do anything, Hedi moved towards him and started hitting him. He punched the guy hard in the face and he started to bleed all over his face. Then he took out a knife.

“You are not so special, are you?” Hedi asked with a smirk on his face. Then another guy whose hair covered his face landed into the container.

“Who the hell are you?”, Hedi asked looking at the new guy who just landed.

The guy didn’t utter any word but just ran towards Hedi and grabbed his hand then twisted it, a groan escaped Hedi’s mouth and with his second hand struck Hedi’s hand. A broken sound could be heard and a very loud scream escaped Hedi’s throat. The guy punched Hedi who was knocked the side of the container which led to the imbalance of the truck. The truck swayed and unfortunately the driver couldn’t control it, since one of the tyres had already been busted. The container fell and before it did. The new guy carried the young guy in blood and jumped out of the container.

†★★★†(Next day)

The scene was a fallen container and some casualties. And cops were all over the place. Now, a red tape has been used to cover the whole scene.

“Sir, these six men were guards of some sort. They were guarding something in this container. But now, we don’t know what it is”, a young lady explained to a man who seemed to be in his middle age of Forty’s perhaps.

“They were mercenaries. And they were robbed or should I say hijacked by someone……..”, he paused in his statement and looked closely in the hole on the container. “So strong enough to punch a hole in a container “, he mumbled the last words.

“Whatever you think, say. I believe you”, the lady replied.

“It is not what I think. It is what is happening. It is clearly an Enhanced. For how long can we keep this away from the public. I don’t know why our higher ups don’t want the public to know about the Enhanced “, the man whispered angrily clenching his fist.

“I understand. All the frustration, having to hold back the truth. It’s not easy. But it is what we have to do. To keep the public safe. Sometimes, when you don’t know about something is the best protection you could ever get”, the lady replied and the man sighed.

“Lets just make the report”, the man said walking away. “We’d probably lie about it anyway”, he added in a whisper. Then the lady looked at him very intently.

(Meanwhile at Home)

Dan carried his bag and readied to go out and saw Arthur’s bag.

“He hasn’t even left his room, has he?”, Dan thought as he shook his head. “Mum, I’m out. I think Arthur is still inside though”, Dan shouted before getting out of the house.

Sicily got ready and went up to Arthur’s room. She knocked and didn’t hear any answer. She knocked again, and this time she heard something fall over, she panicked slightly then she heard footsteps approaching behind the door. Then, it opened with Arthur standing with a smile.

“Morning mum”, he greeted wearily.

“Morning. Did you even sleep at all?”, She asked holding his face and checking him.

“I’m fine. Just stressed up”, Arthur replied. She looked at him and pressed his chest down to his abdomen but Arthur laughed.

“You just tingled me”, he said and Scily shook her head.

“Just making sure you are alright, son. Bye, take care of yourself”, she said and pecked him on the cheek before going out of the house.

“Bye”, Arthur replied as he closed the door and checked his face in the mirror. He checked his body and scoffed.

Meanwhile, far away from Arthur were some men in a room.

“You tried, Hedi. But tell me something”, Dirk said as he presses a tablet on his hand.

“There is another guy. I almost got our guy. But another one came to help him. And Dirk….he’s plenty strong “, Hedi recounts as he thought back to the scene. Then he grabbed hold of his second arm which is now plastered.

Dirk nodded and sighed. “Well, at least you made the delivery and they served the collateral damage”, He added but Hedi shook his head.

“What is wrong?”, Dirk asked

Taking a sharp exhale, “ I think we need to let him know. We can’t hide it anymore”, Hedi said remorsefully.

“You know with what he did for us, we owe him our life. And we must do everything to please him”, Dirk stated as he dropped the tablet and looked intently at Hedi’s arm.

“And I think you may be right, this new guy is really plenty strong”, Dirk added. “You also need to heal up real quick. We are going to the lab”, Dirk announced and others except Hedi began to move things.

“Do you think he will be happy with me?”, Hedi asked but Dirk patted him

“I gat you”, He assured Hedi and both held each other’s hands. As for Hedi, it was the other hand not plastered of course.
