In a room filled with electrical equipment’s that some people will call junks was a group of guys.
It was clear the atmosphere in that room wasn’t peaceful as a guy who is a little larger than others was visibly in anger.
He threw some junks and kicked the metal table and a loud bang was heard, then the metal table had been dented. He grunted in frustration and heaved.
“Must I go personally to operations?” the furious man asked and the remaining guys gulped. Until one of them spoke up.
“We are sorry boss. We shouldn’t have sent only Fraise to the operation”, said the second largest guy who had a scar and the furious guy gritted his teeth.
“We need to find this mysterious guy always getting in our way”, the angry man said. “And the next operation, you’re gonna accompany him, Hedi”, the man said with a smile.
“Alright done. We’re just gonna have to shed some blood. I like blood, you know me so well, Dirk”, Hedi said with a smirk.
“I want to see what he’s made of. We can’t allow him to get in our way anymore. Sooner, he’s gonna ask why products are slow to reach some region”, the man added and took a tablet then pressed it. After some moment, a notification was heard and he smiled.
“At least, we secured the other operation”, he looked over to Fraise who was sulking in a corner.
“I always knew my Operation wasn’t the main one. I was a distraction”, Frause fumed.
“We are doing all we can to get that guy out of our way. So don’t complain of the methods”, Dirk stated as he put the tablet away.
Far away from them, in another room was a guy with a mask on. He wore a black jacket and the mask on his face was also black in color, his hair fell a little to his forehead. With a single finger, he shifted the hair to a side then he stood up and in front of him was a lot of pictures and marks on then with some news headline. And in a particular headline, the title was “Tragic accident of the famous scientist and his family”.
The guy facial expressions could not be seen due to his mask but a dimple formed on each side of his mouth which indicated he was smiling since the mask only covered his face but his mouth and jaw line could be seen.
He checked his wristwatch and sighed. He took some things in the room and pressed a few buttons on the laptop which was on the table. He then went out of the room but on the laptop an image was shown and it was one of a man with a question on his head. “Dead or Alive”? .
★★(At School)★★
Klein was in hurry and he walked briskly in the corridor until he bumped into a guy.
“What the hell …….”, Klein cursed and he looked at the guy who was smiling
“C’mon, why’d you have to do this? Where have you been?”, Klein asked as he heaved.
“Calm yourself before the muscles in your head explode “, Arthur smiled and patted Klein’s head.
“There is something I’m working on”, Arthur began as he gazed in a direction and Klein couldn’t relate to what he was saying.
“C’mon, I don’t wonna hear about what you are working on Arthur. We have a match now against the Brogues. That is why I’m looking for you”, Klein stated and Arthur snapped out of his gaze.
“Oh really. We’ll just continue to be beaten “, Arthur said with a dejected expression.
“But at least we have to try. C’mon let’s go, coach is waiting “, Klein said as he dragged Arthur along with him to the field.
The field was filled with people and it seems both teams were still planning the strategy they want to use in today’s match. The other team were busy and the coach was directing the players on what to do before the match.
While the coach for Emerson High School which was Arthur’s school was visibly angry.
“Where the hell is Klein and his dog!?”, the coach shouted and few guys mumbled at this. That was because they knew Klein, even though he wasn’t quite gifted with body physique as others was the best in the sport and Arthur who although had the physique for the sport sucked at it.
“Cant we just start our game without those two?”, a guy asked. He was a tall one with a gaunt body. He was an average in the sport game but his mouth was too loose.
“I don’t know why you have to wait for them “, the guy continued.
“You know, Klein’s our best shot. He is the best in dunking free throws. He’s got straight hands, unlike you”, coach said and the guys mooed which made the guy grit his teeth. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder.
“Relax, Connor. Just wait, okay”, another guy said beside him.
“Its not his fault really. I don’t know why I can’t have a body like Arthur’s despite working out?”, Connor whispered and clenched his fist.
As the commotion was going on, Klein arrived with Arthur.
“Hey, you two over here!”, coach shouted and Klein rolled his eyes.
“Here we go”, Klein said under his breathe as he went over to coach with Arthur.
“Why are you late?”, coach asked and Klein opened his mouth to answer but Arthur already started talking.
“We are sorry. I got him delayed. My bad sir”, Arthur apologized and coach exhaled.
“How can someone ignore his apology?”, coach thought.
“Alright, gather around people”, coach shouted.
After doing some training, the players then talked about the tactics with the coach. Then, a whistle was heard and it was from the referee, signaling it was time to start the match.
From the spectators seat, a girl was particularly hyping one of the players. She placed a large card and a name was boldly written on it. KLEIN
“Hey, girl. Would you lower your card a little bit?”, another girl asked her.
“You can shift your gaze higher than the card”, Juan replied casually not looking at the girl. The girl wanted to say more but was held back by her friend.
The teams stood opposite each other and the referee explained the rules of the match to them. Then he brought a coin.
“The tail takes the ball and is the first to serve”, the referee said and Klein being the captain was the first to choose a side of the covered coin while the other team’s captain choosed the other side of the coin. The referee tossed the coin and the tail landed. The referee smiled at Klein
“Looks like you have the ball “, the referee said and Klein excitedly took the ball then at the referee’s whistle. Klein served the ball to one of his teammates who dunked the ball and the spectators shouted joyfully.
The other team made the pass and the match commenced.
One of the opposite team got the ball and ran past one of Emerson High team then he came face to face with Arthur.
Arthur exhaled and prepared for any attack he may give. The guy saw his team mate over the basket but he decided not to pass the ball to him.
“Screw it!”, He cursed under his breathe as he tried to run past Arthur. Seeing his move, Arthur rushed towards him with his arms wide apart and the guy skillfully dodged them but his hand managed to hit the guy then Arthur fell. The guy also his balance and fell with the ball too and it went over the field. Then a shout of joy came from the fans.
Arthur quickly stood up and smiled as he was proud of himself but it wasn’t the same with the guy. He laid there and soon others figured something is wrong with him. The referee came over and checked him.
“What is the matter with you?”, he asked.
“He hit my wrist and it dislocated”, The guy said amidst groans but the referee scoffed and he called the medics over. They brought the medical provisions but the guy wrist was really dislocated.
“I think he fell on the wrist”, one of the medic said but the guy denied. Meanwhile Arthur came over. “Sorry for the rough play”, he said and tried to hold the guy but the guy hit his hand.
“Get away from me!”, he nagged and quickly Arthur withdrew. “Send him away from the match”, the guy said and the referee shook his head.
“He played well. You may have fallen on your wrist truly”, the referee said but felt guilty at heart. The guy was screaming and cursing as he was taken away on the stretcher. Arthur still stood there, looking dejected and Klein came to him.
“Hey, don’t think too much about it. It’s just game and you defended well”, Klein said and patted Arthur. Meanwhile, among the spectators was Dan, and he was watching closely.
“I don’t think the guy fell on his wrist. Just what the hell happened right there”, he thought as he kept looking at Arthur intently.
The match ended with Emerson High winning due to one of the players of the opposite team out and the substitute sucked. The Emerson High students were in merry mood and jubilated on the field since they have qualified to Inter-school Competition.
As they were celebrating, the referee was somehow guilty and went to the office of the commentator. He made a request to check a certain footage and watched the scene. He saw clearly what had happened and he sighed.
“How strong are you, Arthur?”, he thought and went out. But a few moments later, a guy with hair covering his face walked into the office and deleted the scene.
