BOAT OF MINE

My father is a fisherman.He goes fishing everynight. I want to learn how to fish.One night I ask,"Can I go with you, Pa?" Yes Roy. But first we need to plan and prepare," Papa says. Papa has been a fisherman for many years.He knows that at time of year there are many fish near the South China Sea. Papa and I gather the things that we will need."Do we have everything?" Papa ask. "Yes" I answer. We carry the boat down to the water and climb in. "Let's go, Pa" I shout. "Yes,'Roy let's go" he says." But how will we move?" I forgot our paddles! I forgot the most important thing. I run back to the house to get them. Papa and I paddle to the South China Sea. We sing together ,Row,row,row your boat gently down the stream.Merely,merely,merely. Fishing is so fun! Suddenly,the wind gets stronger. The waves get bigger.It is hard to paddle. The boat begins to rock.Water begins to enter the boat.Papa tells me to use the pail to scoop the water out. "Yes, Pa," I agree. We begin to paddle back. When we arrive,Mama is happy to see us and our basket of fish. I help Papa put our things away. "You can put your paddle down, 'Roy" he tells me."You don't need it anymore!" "I want to keep keep it with me. It reminds me of the lesson I learned today.Thank you Papa." " You are welcome.Now lets go inside and rest.". I lie down and close my eyes. I remember many things.I remember that it is important to have a goal,to work hard and to never give up. I also remember,that ut feels so good to achieve your goals!. I wake up the next morning and see my boat in the shore. I go to the boat and looking around . There are so many things that can learn and do! I see my friends weaving a fishing basket and I decide,thats what I want to do next!. ~~Sometimes we are lucky to meet people who share our goals. These people have their own talents,skills and abilities.When you work with them,it is easier to achieve your goal.~~~
