Chapter 125

"Let's go over there." Sun said happily. The kid followed him and after a few minutes, they arrived at the Koi pond. "A koi pond?" The kid asked. “Yes, is there something wrong?” Sun asked. “Off all places, I wanted to bring you here. To be honest, since my parents are farmers, I am used to plants and nature around me. But, when I grew up, I wanted to be a marine biologist.” Sun answered. “And why are you telling me about your dreams? What does this have to do with the koi fishes?” The kid asked. “Actually, there is nothing, but I really wanted to show you this. They are pretty, aren’t they? Look at this too.” Sun said and fished out a small pack from his pocket. It was food for the fishes. He slowly placed it there and the fish gathered around the food. Sun was delighted, and looked at the kid. It felt like he was amazed by what he saw. “Do you want to try?” Sun said and gave the packet to the kid. He was hesitant at first but he slowly took the fish food. He picked up a small amount and threw it into the pond. The kid’s eyes brightened as soon as the colorful fishes gathered around the food. The kid threw the food near them and the other group of fishes gathered near them. This time, the kid was really enjoying it and clapped his hands in excitement. “Did you see that?” The kid asked. Then he realized what he was doing and moved his head lower. “Of course.” Sun said and gave the kid his sweetest smile. Starting at that point, the young boy began to open up and loosen up a bit. As moments passed, they began to talk about random things like a kid usually will say. They talk about comic books, cartoons, their hobbies and everything that make them happy. This time, the kid had fully opened his heart to Sun. He was now comfortable with his presence. They left the pond and went to play around the park. They even shared what their favorite ice cream flavor was and went to a shop nearby the picnic area. “Do you want to try?” Sun said and offered the vanilla ice cream he was holding. “No, I am good with this. Thank you.” The kid said and continued to eat his chocolate ice cream. “By the way, is it okay if I ask a question?” Sun asked, “Sure, go ahead.” “Why does it look like the people around you were avoiding you?” Sun asked innocently. The kid just stared at the other kids in front of them playing with each other. “Well, they don’t like me. That’s it” The young boy answered. “Why would they do that? You don’t look bad. You were a bit cold, but I know you are a kind person.” Sun said.
