Chapter 126

“Why does it look like the people around you were avoiding you?” Sun asked innocently. The kid just stared at the other kids in front of them playing with each other. 

“Well, they don’t like me. That’s it” The young boy answered. 

“Why would they do that? You don’t look bad. You were a bit cold, but I know you are a kind person.” Sun said. 

“It’s a long story. Why are you asking a lot of questions? Besides, are you sure that you really don’t know me?” The young boy asked. 

“No, I really don’t know who you are.” Sun said. 

“Well, let’s keep it that way. If you found out, you might stay away from me.” The kid answered.

“I will never do that. I promise. But it’s up to you if you tell me or not, because I respect your decision. It will not hurt if you will not tell me, besides I just met you today. What is important is you are having fun at least.” Sun said and smiled again. 

The kid was taken aback with his expression, but Sun can feel that the kid had already loosened up. He can see that the other child was already having fun as they continued on talking about random things. The two did not realize that the time went by so fast. 

“Kids, gather up. It’s time to go now!” The teacher called the attention of his students. Sun heard his teacher and felt a bit sad. 

“I think it’s time for me to go now. I really had fun.” Sun said. 

The kid paused for a moment as if he was weighing what he wanted to say. Sun waited for what the other young boy would say.

“Let’s play again some other time, and thank you so much for approaching me. To be honest, I was really hesitant to talk with you because you might have some hidden motives. I found out that you are really telling the truth that you don’t know me.” The other kid said, 

“I was afraid to walk towards you too, but something was really telling me to go to where you are and keep you company. Also, I am glad that I did because I found a new friend, and I am really happy.” Sun said. 

“Thank you so much, and I hope we can meet again some other time and play!” The kid said excitedly. 

“Of course! It’s a promise! And please do remember me, and promise to meet up with me again.” Sun said and held out his hand sticking out his pinky finger. 

“Yes, it’s a promise!” The other kid said and sticked out his hands too to seal the promise. 

“By the way, before I go, what’s your name?” Sun asked. 

“My name is….

Before the kid could tell his name, the guard that was looking out for the kid held his hand and they left. Sun felt sad because they were not able to introduce themselves properly, but he believes that they will meet again soon.
